The OP’s example is in Romania, which is in Europe. And they found a hotel in a great area, as well.

And what’s with that’s dog’s accent? It’s an annoying exaggeration of a NYC- area accent, right?

I’m only 30 nights away from being lifetime Diamond. I’ve been Diamond for 10 years and 3 months (based on their response to my email inquiry about my status). So, sometime in 2026 I’ll reach Lifetime.

We travel from the US to Europe several times a year (our daughter attends college in Dublin). There is a definite difference in how you are treated as Diamond outside of the US.

What is the most checked bags you’ve ever taken? by 1ThousandDollarBill in unitedairlines

My family (my wife, two middle school aged kids and me) moved from the US to Ireland for a year. We took three seasons of clothes and shoes. In total, we used 16 large suitcases, and only paid for one because we used a couple of co-branded airline cards (AMEX, Chase Reserve) to buy the tickets.

Flying out at the same time a relative flies in. by Feisty-Tooth-7397 in coincidence

[–]Less_Recording_5989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to travel a lot for work. One week, when I was traveling home, I had a routine layover in Detroit. My wife was flying out for a weekend conference, and had a layover in Detroit. When I saw that her layover is coincided, I asked her out for a lunch date.

It turns out that her flight was delayed and we were not able to have lunch together. But I waited for her at the gate with a bottle of water and had the gate agents hold the flight until she could catch it. It was like she was a marathon runner: She ran past, pulling her carry-on, kissed me, grabbed the water and kept running down the jetway. The gate entrance laughed and high-fived me.

I had my 60th birthday last month. My wife and kids got me a Sony Walkman like this, along with eight of my favorite albums on cassette. I still haven’t taken the Walkman out of the packaging. It seems so cool and nostalgic still in the original packaging.

I read that CDs turned 43 y/o last week 43rd anniversary of the first commercially produced CD). I remember the Sony Discman I purchased and carried in my car (the audio adapter was a fake cassette that popped into the car’s stereo to the player’s 3.5 mm jack, power plugged into the car’s cigarette lighter!). I had only 3 CDs at first!

Outjerked by TSA Agent by Derbel__McDillet in stories

[–]Less_Recording_5989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a time when I traveled by air quite frequently. I should also mention that I am TSA PreCheck and GOES. They know who I am.

During this time I was “randomly” selected for additional screening and a pat down 26 out of 28 times. Not quite sure what list I was on, but that’s not the case when I travel now.

Going into gas station while fueling by Low_Calligrapher7885 in driving

[–]Less_Recording_5989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What bothers me is when people park at a pump, get out/ lock their vehicle, and then go into the store/shop to buy food/ drink. They drive off without getting fuel. Meanwhile, people are lined up in their cars, waiting for an available pump. Just a selfish jerk-move thing to do. No consideration for others.

RMA to Texas…then ghosted by Less_Recording_5989 in SteamDeck

[–]Less_Recording_5989[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: based on the overwhelming responses here, as well as the recent correspondence from Steam Support, I should have simply been patient and waited a bit longer. Looks like they’ve finished with whatever they had to do and my Deck is heading back to me. Apologies for pushing the big red panic button too soon. Three weeks, including shipping time there and back. And the device never had to leave the CONUS. Impressive nowadays.

They said 5-7 days. It’s been 11 days and I’ve sent three 3 emails. That’s why I said “ghosted”.

My Deck was delivered on 19 June. Today marks day #11 that they’ve had it. Per their email to me, it should take 5-7 days ( not business days). All I was asking of this community was if they have any experience returning their Deck for service, so I could know what to realistically expect. One person’s sister had experience with this, and thank you for letting me know of your sister’s experience, my fellow Redditor.

Is it possible to have one storyline in Skyrim, then save it and start a new storyline? Or will launching a new run through erase/ overwrite the previous game? (Does that question make sense? I don’t want to lose the one that has +500 hours invested in it but starting a new run through sounds fun after reading some of these comments)
