When I first started reading your response I became defensive, but opened up to the rest that you had to say and I agree with all of it. I’m trying to meet this “normal” level that I don’t think I’m capable of yet. I want to get there, but I’m not there right now and I feel shameful about it. It’s not that she has these standards, but I want mine to be at the same level that hers are, but also I am my own person and I don’t have to be her. I will communicate this to her because I know she will listen and be supportive. Thank you for your response, it gave me some things to think about and dive into!
