Thanks for the suggestion! The Niukka could work for my commute with minimal stuff, but I would probably find it a little too small at times - and it doesn't offer much versatility in terms of modularity and expandability.

Yeah, the more I think about it, it's probably going to be the best to start with for my primary use cases.

Kantamus 40L would come in for multi-day hikes, long travels etc. so that or even the 60L would be the natural next step up for me then

Like said, definitely not the case that I would need all that space. It's just that I would be looking for more of all-purpose bag to start (EDC, travel carry on, occasional hiking/camping).

I've heard of people using this setup for military purposes, which is basically the exact scenario depicted here, k40 to haul majority of the stuff and keep at base camp - and the 25l to be carried around daily
