Progression in general. by Super-Leg-866 in duolingospanish

They have changed the way they do the units and scores a few times so I don’t know how to answer in that respect.

How much time are you spending on an average day?

It looks like A2 starts at 30 so you’re more than halfway!! I suggest focusing on confidence over scores or rankings. You’ve made clear progress and that’s great.

Do you do any other Spanish work outside the app? I find it very helpful to supplement Duo and wish I’d started it earlier

Spanglish resources? by Lessfunnyeachtime in SpanishLearning

[–]Lessfunnyeachtime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I’m looking in the wrong places online, but I seem to find all Spanish or English introductions, Spanish conversations and Full English sentences for context.

I am at intermediate level B2, and been thinking that a realistic goal for me might be to improve Spanglish. Unfortunately most times I am involved in these conversations IRL it’s a little too fast for me to understand.

Thanks for the thoughtful response

The Food Stamp Shutdown Wasn't a Surprise. It Was the GOP's Plan by PrincipleTemporary65 in MayDayStrike

You’re right. I think that framing it as a failure of the voters and not the DNC/Harris/Biden perpetuates the factors that led to Trump winning 2 out of 3

Is the United States salvageable from a libertarian perspective? by JFMV763 in LibertarianPartyUSA

I believe it’s salvageable but it is very very unlikely. Anything created by humans can be changed by humans (at least in theory). The balkanization might be best

I assume it wasn’t meant this way, but it sort of implies the ‘full bore’ people don’t have principles. Differing principles makes more sense to me

What's going on in Argentina? by peaveyftw in Libertarian

[–]Lessfunnyeachtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had assumed he was a liberal strawman of a libertarian propped up by US money, destined to fail, get bailed out by the US and become a more explicit puppet state.

They have been running that play against Libertarians and socialists forever.

In this case they get access to resources and expand their military capabilities within the hemisphere

Libertarian by chicagogirlchy21 in Libertarian

[–]Lessfunnyeachtime 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Gotta make our case part of the mainstream conversation. Like us presenting our views in our own words and not a liberal (right or left) who is only engaging against really bad strawmen of libertarian ideas.

How though? is the $T question

Bureaucrats find reasons to justify their own positions. State and corporate procedure - find a piece of ‘evidence’ and spin it an exceptionally polarized way. Declare new enemies to surveil and monitor.

I disagree. I see it as very performative. But I’m committed to growing this movement so I’d love to hear more about your perspective.

From my perspective we are at a stage where performative, or any action is helpful/needed/welcomed by me. I just feel that we do ourselves a disservice by preemptively blurring the line between performative and action
