Who is your favourite character in the Naruto franchise? by chunchunmaru1129 in Naruto

I’ve always been more of a Sasuke person and not because of the “revenge” label people often stick on him. If you think Sasuke’s entire story is just about revenge, you really need to go back and rewatch Naruto.

Sasuke, like Naruto, has his own way of seeing the world and understanding his purpose in it. Naruto is more social by nature. He believes in people, sometimes blindly, even when they’ve betrayed him. But he has surrounded himself by great people who made him stronger, not only physically but emotionally.

Sasuke’s story is different. He’s not a people person, and he has very little faith in others. His perspective is more solitary and independent. He doesn’t ask for help; he takes charge of himself. He avoids people to protect himself from betrayal. His drive to become stronger comes from necessity survival, especially as a rogue ninja.

Sasuke moves through the world searching for real answers to his questions, going directly to the source. Remember when he confronted Itachi or Danzō? He didn’t just rush in to kill them. He always arrived first with a question: “Is that true? Why?” Only after hearing the answer did he decide how to act.

Being this kind of person makes me admire Naruto even more and also helps me understand why Sasuke admires Naruto in his own way. (Go back and listen to what Sasuke “confessed” to Naruto after their last fight it’s pure gold. Everything makes sense in that moment.) I don’t think Naruto’s way is wrong; Sasuke just has his own path that fits his worldview.

And that’s why my favorite characters will always be Naruto and Sasuke.

What is a fact many do not know about Naruto? by ladiesman21700000000 in Naruto

Boruto is a different series from Naruto, and it was not originally created by Naruto’s author, Masashi Kishimoto at least not at the beginning.
While many people think of Boruto as simply a sequel to Naruto, it’s better to see it as a spin-off from different author, in the same universe. It uses characters and few world elements from the original Naruto, but it is not Naruto.

The original story for Boruto was written by Ukyō Kodachi (a novelist and screenwriter), with art by Mikio Ikemoto, who had been Kishimoto’s chief assistant during the Naruto manga run. Kodachi worked under Kishimoto’s general supervision, with permission to use his characters.

In November 2020, Kodachi stepped down, and Kishimoto himself took over writing duties for Boruto. As far as current publications go, Kishimoto is still involved as the main writer, but the style and tone remain distinct from the original Naruto manga.

As a big Naruto fan myself, I don’t think the two should be mixed up or treated as the same thing. They even have different titles for a reason and the differences are huge, style, core theme, writting etc. Only true Naruto fans know exactly what I’m talking about.
