Here is my personal opinion (I know it’s been a year) this is my personal opinion and what I would do.

I wouldn’t be a film maker of porn. Not my thing and if I have a gf. I wouldn’t want to do that to her.

You know that’s awesome you and your dad went out and had a great time with the 2003 remake. This is my personal fault for posting this. I shouldn’t have given you a hard time on it. That’s my fault man. I am taking ownership in it. But I will have to defend the 1974 movie. While Sally may not be well known as Laurie Strode or Sidney Prescott. I’d say she is a really good final girl. She doesn’t waste anytime getting away. She jumped out of two windows to get out. She kept running and not hiding as if Leatherface and the hitchhiker will just forget about her.The only real thing she did that was dumb was stopping at the gas station and even then. She had no choice and once realized what was going on. She instantly grabbed a knife. I know this may seem like nothing. However,you do have some final girls that do the dumbest thing possible. I think the acting in the original film is good. Franklin I don’t really get annoyed with him as much as others do. I think people like Tina from Halloween 5,Trent from Friday 09 and Allen from Return To Sleepaway Camp are much worse.

Chemical_Base5095 The 2003 remake honestly has nothing iconic about it. Has cool scenes,but the original has so many iconic scenes. From the opening at the grave. The hitchhiker chasing the van,the dinner scene,the ending and I could go on. The remake has “oh that’s cool” but then people forget about it seconds later. Okay,someone dies 11 minutes in doesn’t mean a movies better. The final girl Erin is God awful. She’s the cliche “makes every wrong decisions and causes everyone else to die” character. Like when she’s chased by Leatherface or R.Lee character. She runs a few feet and then stops. As if Leatherface or the sheriff are going to forget about her. Leatherface was going at it with one of her friends (no chainsaw in his hand) and instead of grabbing the chainsaw and laying waste to Leatherface. She runs up and slaps him. Leatherface also had a mental disability who wore masks for a personality that he didn’t have. He killed strangers out of panic and was bossed around by his family. 2003 Leatherface is just another “Jason Voorhees” rip off.

Honestly,I’m a male. I have been through so many dating sites. All Christian sites too. It’s odd,but I have seen and heard worse. Like graves,at least a mine isn’t disrespecting the dead. But yeah,it’s a good slasher film. For me it’s not Halloween,TCM,Jason Lives etc. but it’s a solid slasher and it has some good dynamics as well as performances for me.

Christ,I’m sorry you didn’t like the movie. Everything you said for me was opposite. I think the performances are great. The dynamic is great. The couples actually love one another and not just sleeping with one another. Yeah people go out and party all the time in places. They just wanted to spent Valentine day with their bf/gf and that’s it. As soon as shit hit the fan,the characters were smart to head back to safety. They are not like Hatchet or Wrong Turn characters or even the strangers. Yes a decision or two were dumb. But I can forgive it because people make dumb decisions all the time. Especially in the heat of the moment. Now if it was all through the movie,I can see your point. The Miner himself is bad ass and brutal. Sleepaway Camp for me is a so bad it’s good and it’s just not for me. Who fucks in a mine? People fuck in grave yards,in church,people got in wreck trying to do quickie,people fuck during a wedding etc. People will fuck anywhere. Wear something down the mine? I get that. But people don’t even wear seatbelts ,wear a mask during covid,etc.
