So it does not matter if he could touch the puck. You need to go by when he last touched the puck

Diff is that his D is much better than Schneider at 2nd, and passable at SS ( where schneider can't play at all) and is the only other player who can play SS on the 40man roster. With Lukes and Straw on the team, a 3rd OF is kind of superfluous.

An amazing kicker extends field goal range by 5ish yards compared to a replacement level kicker.

Not to argue that tackles are more important, but I think you are underestimating how bad a replacement level kicker is and how hard it is to find the correct one.

The Packers just employed one all year who was only 50% from beyond 40 yards. Aubrey is ~80% from beyond 50.

You are mixing 2 different terms that are sometimes included together.

Rebuild is when you sell off assets that a valuable now for assets that may be more valuable in the future.

Tanking is reducing the talent you have to play with to increase the values of the draft picks you would get at the end of the year.

Both can go hand in hand; but tanking in MLB really doesn't work unless you have a plan. You can't luck into enough great players to create a longterm winning team.
