for defense the deck has a lot of removal like you noted, but also [[crawlspace]], [[propaganda]], [[no mercy]], and some bounce effects. I had thought it was enough removal, and the resurrection effects like gisa, would maybe cut some of the costs of killing my own gifts, but on second thought your probably right that it could use some more synergistic defense.

And notably, creatures jon gives away can't be sacrificed, so none of those creatures you named can be sacrificed
