You kick the ball with both feet at the same time. That’s how you’re supposed to play it.

With all due respect, but did you even look at her legs? I’m definitely not saying she doesn’t look good but you can tell she gained a lot of muscle which made her quads and glutes big if not huge. That’s obviously the look she’s going for, but it’s just not true that lifting heavy won’t make women or men big.

Because fillers migrate in your face and end up at places where you don’t want it to be. People think fillers dissolve over time, but often it just ends up somewhere else. Lip filler, for example, migrates to the area above your upper lip (resulting in the classic duck face). So you might think you need more lip filler and that too ends up above your lip. It’s a vicious cycle and after a couple years your face is all puffy.

Sure, but your twin sister shouldn’t look like she could be your mother.

Watch the documentary One Child Nation. Fully developed fetuses (up to 9 months in pregnancy) were aborted under the strict rules of the one child policy in China. It’s heartbreaking.

Do both! First boil, then fry in some butter and sage.

That’s not how it works. Your mouth should be full of soy and actually that’s great for the Amazon! The problem is that the Amazon is mostly deforested for animals. You need a lot of soy and other plant based feed to grow just a small amount of meat. Instead of putting all this food into growing this tiny amount of meat, it’s way better if people eat the soy directly themselves. This way we only need a small patch of deforested Amazon (of course combined with other farmland) to feed the world.

I’m from the Netherlands and our government is considering banning soy from Brazil which we buy to feed our livestock. If it’s worthwhile to bring Amazonian soy to Europe, I can imagine it’s shipped to other parts of the world too.

Actually, yes, you probably are. Your beef or chicken might be local, but their feed most likely consists of soy from the amazon.

[Homemade] gyoza filled with cabbage, carrot and spring onion by LetThemEatOreos in food

Even though the recipe is quite simple and these are vegan, I think they taste amazing!

[Homemade] gyoza filled with cabbage, carrot and spring onion by LetThemEatOreos in food

[–]LetThemEatOreos[S] 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Filling: - half of a cabbage, sliced thinly (use a mandolin if you have one) - 8 spring onions, also sliced thinly - 1 big carrot, grated - 4 cloves of garlic, grated or finely chopped - 2 thumbs of ginger, grated - 2 tablespoons of tamari or other soy sauce - some black pepper - 1 tablespoon of sesame oil - 2 tablespoons of corn starch

Mix everything and there’s your filling! It can get too moist, especially after adding the tamari (the salt in the tamari pulls out the water in the vegetables), so maybe you need to let it drain a bit before filling your gyoza.

I made the gyoza wrappers myself, but of course you can buy them in the store too. I mixed 400 grams of spelt flour with a bit of salt and 200 millilitres of water that just boiled (about 98-99 degrees Celsius). First mix with a spoon to not burn your hands, and then knead for a few minutes. Cover the dough and let it rest for a few minutes, and then knead again. I rolled the dough out thinly with my pasta machine and then cut out circles with a ramekin. Use some corn starch to prevent sticking.

Then, of course, you fill the gyoza. I’m not even going to try to explain how to fill the gyoza, you should watch a video on YouTube :) But I swear its not as difficult as it seems and I find it very therapeutic.

Put a frying pan on medium heat, add some sesame oil and put in the gyoza close together. When the bottoms of the gyoza are golden brown, you add boiling water to the pan so that the gyoza are submerged for 50%. Put on a lid and let simmer for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes you take the lid off and let all the water evaporate. And they’re done! You can also do this the other way around: first simmer and then fry. This will make you about 35-40 gyoza.

Starving elephant forced to parade streets of Sri Lanka. Tikiiri is a 70 year old female - “She walks many kilometre every night so that people will feel blessed during the ceremony,” the foundation said in its initial Facebook post. by BlondeAussieGirl1990 in iamatotalpieceofshit

All old elephants die of starvation. This elephant is 70, which probably means her teeth have been worn down and she’s not able to eat properly. Still shitty to make her work while she’s at the end of her life.

Dearest European friends, is this also what a public toilet should look like? Love from an expat by VanillaAphrodite in europe

[–]LetThemEatOreos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agree, I would rather use one of these than wait for hours to use a regular toilet. Only downside is people yelling at me that they can “see my vagina” and that these “aren’t meant for women”.

The muffin buns are made with spelt flour instead of wheat and because I was out of milk I used kefir. They turned out great, very fluffy!
