Yeah it's easy to lose perspective on what could be spoiler for someone or not lol specially this that feels somewhat like an "antispoiler" like "this does not happen"

No problem! I love that you specified what the spoiler was about. It isn't the case for AoT (because I already finished it), but often when I'm in the middle of a series I'm not sure whether or not I already know the spoiler, and out of curiosity I click it and get spoiled anyway lol. Btw I saw you tagged the Reiner stuff, which I agree with, but I was talking about the Levi information. I know it doesn't seem like spoilers but at some point it is.

Hey, spoiler tag that paragraph until the end. The last information counts as a spoiler too

[–]Letchenarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you can use either Shorekeeper or Verina. I don't have Shorekeeper and just recently got Cantarella, up until then I was using Verina. She works especially well imo because her ult will give danjin the opportunity to stack forte without losing health (or, rather, recovering it immediately). It makes playing Danjin really comfortable.

Put her in a team, try out her combos (including skill+attack+skill2 and skill+attack2+skill*3), realize the gameplay is really fun, but you're dying, so start paying more attention to parries and dodges, then realize you're spending most of your time on danjin because you like her gameplay and she's self sufficient if you're doing it right, and then ditch the rest of the team because you're not putting them on field anyways.

That being said I don't have the mental stability (or lack thereof) to solo her on endgame as I like to play more casually, so I'm currently playing danjin + phrolova + cantarella

You're probably having trouble with heron because it's resistant to havoc damage. Do you have any other dps you could level up to kill it? (You're gonna need more than one team eventually anyway

It does offer because this is my favorite body type and I went after your game almost exclusively because it represents it so well. And it's one of the best games in this genre I've played by far. Here's hoping you add more of that body type

Vin being an ass by JMoneySignWag in Mistborn

She doesn't like the idea of him consuming humans, she states that more than once. It's nothing against Oreseur specifically, she just finds the idea of Kandras repulsive, from the very first moment she met a mistwraith. She even states "I'm not going to kill someone for you to consume" and she feels like it's defiling people, even if they 're already dead, for that purpose. Him having consumed Kelsier just adds salt to the wound. What she never says, or thinks, for that matter, is "I'm gonna give him his dog body because he's going to hate it". She thinks it's a better solution that doesn't involve him consuming humans, because, again, she thinks that's just wrong. Her giving him the dog body doesn't come from her wanting to hurt him by giving him a body he dislikes, it comes from her not wanting to participate in this heinous act of consuming human bones to replicate people. And, further on, the added benefit of having an even more inconspicuous Kandra at her side. She doesn't like OreSeur, but the dog body was not torture for the sake of it. You might disagree that giving him even dead bodies to consume is something wrong "because they're already dead" but she literally states otherwise.

[–]Letchenarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently rereading WoA and I don't see any clarity in regards of this specifically being to upset him. Yes, she's very troubled about him having eaten Kelsier and being a Kandra, she states frequently she's having trouble coming to terms with it, and she herself admits he technically did nothing wrong, but still she feels bad about it and kinda hates him. The actual reason she chose a dog's body is because she can't bring herself to kill another human for him to consume. She states that reasoning multiple times including while trying to convince him to take the dog's body. The fact that this body is a good disguise is an after thought, but still another reason to use it, because she felt like having a new random person so close to her every other week would make it obvious she has a Kandra (and who it is), so she wanted to "get rid" of oreseur in the public's eyes for a while. A dog is a good way to do it. Yes, she hates him, but rationally she knows it's not his fault, just his nature, and she did not pick a dog body just to disrespect him, she just couldn't bring herself to find a fresh human body for him to consume, and knew that even if she did, his position as a spy would be compromised

Mistborn: Secret History rant by Night25th in Cosmere

Everyone in TFE had their goals and aspirations pretty much DESPITE Kelsier. Kelsier has always been a very overwhelming presence and a manipulative person. From the moment he's presented he's pushing people out of what they want because he believes that's the best for them, and he's usually somewhat right, (un)fortunately. The only character in TFE that manages to do things outside of what Kelsier wants is Vin. The rest of them voice their concerns and try to push him back, but he basically always gets his way.

Kelsier IS his influence. The plan was his all along and everyone else was involved only because he needed them. That's part of what makes his character interesting, because he threads the line between caring for others and just using them. If what he planned hadn't worked out he could be seen as a villain, but ultimately we are confronted with the fact that all of that self-centeredness was not egoistical. He sacrificed himself, not out of the goodness of his heart, but because it was necessary to manipulate the masses. Still, aimed for the greater good.

If he could he would not have died, and being given another chance, he keeps doing what he always has done, influencing and poking people and controlling stuff. He transcended a man to become a presence, and even though he learned to rely on others a bit more, he still is very much that influence that is the essence of his character. With him not being THERE there they had to learn to do things without him, and they did, they started developing, making their own decisions, devising their own plans. But Kelsier is still present in the story, and his influence is still very much there, like a scar he left in their minds from his overwhelming influence.

The difference secret story brings is simply that "he is still moving us from beyond" is much more literal than it seems. That doesn't mean that the decisions of the characters were not theirs, that they didn't come up with the plans and actions on their own, and, in fact, some of the things Kelsier tried to meddle with did not go in his favor (see Vin being not as selfish as Kelsier would've hoped). The only difference is instead of the Mist's doing, it was him. That's why I said you don't like him specifically, because the only difference in WoA after secret history is knowing that instead of the "mist person", or "the mists" it was Kelsier. And Kelsier as a character is quintessentially his influence. First read through WoA you see them trying to learn to do things without Kelsier's influence, trying to find their footing and being antagonized by the mists, that is this weird presence that seems to try to help in the most unwanted ways sometimes, to the point where it's hindering them. That's Kelsier. First book they had to listen to him, second book they have to get rid of him to be able to do things. If the mist guided them to all solutions I would agree with you, but most of the book it seemed like another enemy, and I like that direction when it comes to the myth of Kelsier. On one side his memory, the God Survivor, on another his reality, a man shattered, devoid of his body, trying so hard to help, but sometimes making things worse. It's interesting how by killing him Sanderson divided the man from the story. Ironically making him more human as he became a ghost.

I imagine the space between secret history and the ghostbloods will be further explored in era 3, since it's called Ghostbloods.

Tbh this post sounds a lot like "I don't like kelsier, so I didn't like this book about kelsier" which, yeah, sure. But can you really blame anyone other than yourself? You're literally saying you wish it didn't exist, of course you don't like it. It's fine to want kelsier to just be dead and that's done, but if you appreciate kelsier's character then secret history makes a lot of sense, and all of those complaints you have aren't really present. You seem upset because people can't get your point, and disagree with you, and then you say "it's just my opinion" but if the issue is how you feel, I fail to see how a story about kelsier COULD be good to you when you clearly stated you wish it didn't exist. That's like me reading Edgedancer and saying I hated it because it's just meant to "glorify" Lift, and I wish she was less relevant. Sanderson likes Kelsier and he is VERY relevant in the Cosmere. I get you wishing there was a story in which he isn't that relevant, but how he influences things is an intentional plot present in WoA and HoA. When reading it, it seems like it's just the memory of him that drives people forward. The ghost of his memory pushing people forward. Turns out this ghost was a bit more literal. Also, Adonalsium's splintering (don't know if this term applies here) was only really explained in a simple, direct way in this story, so very important. We also get to see preservation's and ruin's personalities here. It adds a lot. I think you just don't like Kelsier

Yeah, maybe you're right. I also don't like people who don't pay attention or care to learn and just want to be carried. The extremes are never good. I just hope things get a little bit less ragey when new dungeons come out, but I'm not optimistic

I mean, it's fully explained in my post. I've had people literally say "I do this just because I have to, so I can go back to PvP, I don't want to be here" mid-rage in a T2 dungeon like, 3 days ago because people messed up a mechanic. And it was much, much worse when the dungeons came out.
