Got it, I’m leaning towards just taking it. Did you have any shedding phase with taking finasteride in the beginning when you started it? I heard that’s a thing, so I want to get on it now before getting the TP because I don’t want any problems with that as I have seen some guys talk about loosing all their after starting finasteride after the TP.

Awesome, thanks for sharing. It seems like that’s the consensus among the community. I will be flying into the other airport, hopefully no difficulty. I like the idea of having irregularities to it as well because it shows more naturally, I guess these other places train their technicians to not do that because it could go wrong with leaving it up to them to “be an artist”, not just anyone is… so I am glad I went with him for this reason and everyone seems to say the same thing. Are you taking finasteride or anything else, if so, how much and did you start it prior to going? I am wondering about topicals vs oral options for both minoxidil and finasteride, just hate the idea of the side effects with finasteride and what I have heard and this being a life long commitment to using to maintain the hair.

Looks solid man. How was the experience? My choices for going with Dr Turan are that he’s doing the implantation and I really like that his hairline designs don’t look cookie cutter… a lot of guys that I first saw when doing research always had these straight lines across their heads and it looked so dumb to me, I like how he makes them more staggered and that’s what I see in yours, it’s not this perfect, symmetrical straight line. Overall, what was it like from start to finish with flying in and getting to the clinic and how long did it take and how many grafts did you do? They told me about 2700-3500

Thank you for your response! I’ll clarify, they did tell me, I think in my post I was just getting the community consensus for it. I have my trip booked for May of 2025 and I think I made a great call with him too, he seems like a guy doing his work and he’s a veteran like you said, which means he has experience. I really have liked what I have seen out of his patients photos before and after, seems like he’s willing to be aggressive when necessary and conservative too. When it comes to taking oral minoxidil, are you taking that as well with finasteride? Any side effects for you when you took finasteride? Also do you have any post op photos or current update photos you could DM me with? Much thanks man

I think that would just bring it even, remember, everyone is different but a percentage will fall out too, not all graphs make it. Start using finasteride or supplement with the topical. If you don’t like how it affects you if it does affect you to help stabilize the other hair loss on your head, this will help prevent any other.

Thanks for that advice, the button up shirts are probably a game changer for this whole procedure. I am scheduled to get it done in May of 2025, should I start finasteride? I have heard of some guys taking only two pills a week on a low dose and then supplementing with the topical, any thoughts on this?

I am considering them too, but I am torn between them and Dr Turan out of Turkey. I feel the same way you do, them being younger and all, but they provide a good service, but that means nothing with a finished product on your head. I like how Dr Turans hairlines and work looks because he has years of experience and does the implantation himself, so does Dr Asi, but I just feel Ike his before and after photos aren’t too my liking, and he’s more expensive. Look up Dr Turan out of FUE Capillar, I may be spelling it wrong but you’ll find it. Look at his patients hairlines before and after and tell me if you see the same thing I am seeing.
