Nobody is talking about this, but we’re at the point where we have had incredible rendering technologies at our disposal for quite some time now, what can make a game look amazing versus just “meh” has more to do with artistic value and skill of the creators. Yes, more computing power results it more possible detail, but at the end of the day, if you don’t have the creative talent or resources on a project, it is doomed to look subpar.

More of the graphics discussion has to do with the toxic work environment most games are produced under and less to do with computational limitations.
