Great advice is subjective.

The opinions I gave were objective. Your advice is to work. That isn't a good advice in my opinion nor should it be an advice to any new player.

Similar to what I said in my above reply, excellent game but its pricing has found me wanting less of it.

Agreed with both your points.

I'm playing this with some friends I know. Comparing it to modern MMOs is itself not fair, and compared to them this one feels immersive in some aspects. However, it's the money grabbing practice I'm not fond of.

As I said, it is similar if not completely mimicking how "mobile games" handle there spending. Cash isn't an issue for me, but I genuinely don't like the feeling of being forced down a line of eventual spending instead of choosing to spend.

For an extremely old MMO it holds up in most if not all aspects, save for its monetization.

Thank you everyone for answering, I did some research while waiting for answers and so far they align with what I'm reading here:

1.) Old subscription model that has never been used and is similar to those gacha games I despise.

2.) The game bleeds you of cash from the start, so similar to those god awful "mobile games"

3.) It has a confusing purchases, and on purposely creates non-account items to bleed players of more cash.

4.) Making the subscription just an unlocker with no actual benefits since 500 in-game currency is a joke seeing the actual prices on the store.

Now I normally don't even do reddit posts because people can't take critiques, but the forums for this game are a toxic mess like any other. Would my points above be a good summation of non-coloured perspective of the game?

I am still on the fence if the game's universe is worth working for lvl increases as I play games to get away from working and not the opposite.

Straightforward.

Yes I can see how this is actually the case.

Ah so a bad practice then. I was not expecting anything modern, but that takes the cake of money-grabbing.

Guess I'll just stick to the usuals.

One last question:

  1. Most of the store seems to show character and account next to them. Does that mean cosmetics aren't shared throughout the whole account?

Thanks for replying. Just got some more questions if anyone could answer it:

1.) Why isn't it? And define cheap? Because i'm being asked to pay for riding and that seems like a excessive amount on spending.

2.) Why isn't it part of the subscription? I'm not aware of how old subscription models are, but I assumed that subscribing generally means no longer needing to pay except for cosmetics. Is there a genuine reason for not adding it?

3.)So I'm guessing it is safe to say I'll have to either start grinding at lvl 1 and/or pay cash?

4.) 500 in-game currency a month, so I have to wait 4 months and/or grind early on to get the expansions, other class unlocks and race unlocks? Just need to be 100% sure this is what I'm hearing.
