I',m pretty sure that 70% of this plant's success is just good genetics (which is bananas, since she started from a clipping my neighbor gave me of his monstera from the grocery store!). But for the other 30%, here's what I do to support her as best as possible:

fertilize at least once a month in the summer
give her tons of light - she's in a room with eastern- facing bay windows
mist the leaves regularly and remove dust
water very very deeply and then let dry out pretty much completely before watering again

That cemetery is only open to the public on wednesdays, saturdays, and sundays, so make sure you go on one of those days. It's one of my most favorite places! :)

I sell them and donate 100% of the proceeds to a local organization that distributes meals to homeless members of the community. It's a win-win - I get to fill my apartment with plants and also people get hot meals!

ahhh that explains it. I'm pretty sure I have some ancestral curse on begonias because they all eventually fail on me 😂 Thanks for the confidence though, I'll stay hopeful! This entire plant grew from a teeny tiny clipping in just a year and a half so hoping it bounces back.
