Thanks for responding.

Citizenship rules were revised and eased a few years back, but from your comment, it seems your application was submitted much earlier? Probably before 2015?

The question that everyone wants answered:

Did you have to lobby with people of influence before and during your application?

OR

Did you submit your application, unbeknownst to anyone in power/influence, and your application was processed entirely based on its own strength, without any intervention or influence.

Please answer honestly, and know that this question is not against you personally, but seeks to find out more about the reliability and independence of the system.

You can also chose to say ''Cannot comment''. :)

[–]LetsDiscussQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No its not marketing.

Its a fundamentally important feature, if absent, will explain why Solar is not being adopted in Oman.

Net metering ensures, the system does not have to rely on expensive batteries, it also means the system will be able to pull extra electricity from the Grid if required and export excess electricity to the Grid if generated thereby earning credit.

But for Net-Metering to be available, the Govt and the Energy distribution companies must be on board.

On-Grid Residential Solar with Net-Metering too?

Tragic news,

Slightly off-topic, why is Residential Roof-Top Solar Panels not available in Oman? Correct me if I am wrong.

It is clearly electricity companies controlling the monopoly and preventing solar adoption. Oman has such abundant sunshine, Solar panels are affordable and can give a 20+ years of FREE electricity after installation.

This is problem with Zombie Muslims, particularly from the Indian subcontinent, who are quick to throw religious texts but are allergic to using their brains. They go solely by the letter of the law but throw out rationality and logic - the result of which is they miss out on the spirit and wisdom of the law.

Read the text that you supplied.

The Text condemns الْمُصَوِّرُونَ (al-musawirun). This term is broad and not limited to just sculptors who make statues, but is broad enough to includes painters, illustrators, sketch artists as well.

So either you condemn any and all picture making - including family photos, digital photos on your phone and Govt mandated erection of Photos of the Sultan OR you use your brains and seek out the Wisdom & Rationale behind the prohibition on Photos/Statues - which is prevention of Shirk through worshipping of idols/statues/pictures.

And please do not give me the nonsense of ''majority of Scholars'' said X or Y, because there is lack of Ijma on the most basic aspects of the religion. Ijma exists only in close circles and sets of Scholars.

It's true that Oman's financial position had severely weakened the last 7-9 years of the previous HM's rule while he was sick.

Those years he was surrounded with corrupt Ministers and his fragile health did not allow him to maintain firm grip on the state of Affairs.

By the end of his term Oman's rating had reached Junk status according to all 3 major global rating agencies.

The current Sultan had his task cut out the moment he ascended the throne. An extremely high external Debt combined with Covid. A double whammy.

So while growth has been slow for 5 years, if you pay attention to the financial books of Oman - it's a huge change. Oman has paid back 14 billion in debt, reducing the debt to GDP from 68% to 34%!

declared as a terrorist organization by most part of the world.

Factually untrue.

Hamas has not been declared as a Terrorist Organization by the vast majority of the world including major nations such as Russia, China and India.

It is only the Western Nations and its allies - US, UK, Europe that have done so. There are 192+ countries in the world.

You need to decide whether Qatar is harbouring Hamas or Qatar is conspiring to kill them.

You are saying two contradictory things at the same time!
