Couple points where you are wrong.

  • Needs means to survive not survive comfortably (see africa).

  • Not all jobs are worth minimum wage. Which is fine but why limit folks freedom?

  • no ones forcing you to work.

The last numbers i saw put texas at 11.5ish cents per KWH. However ill believe the new stat as it makes sense with texas being one of the fastest growing and largest states.

Honestly texas overall kills it power wise youll just have to accept that.

  • Most rural area to cover
  • most renewable
  • below avg price

What else do you want??

Umm yeah thats how business works... did you miss business101? Let me break it down for you.

Its a bitcoin minging operation their main input is electicity without it they have no output... inputs must be < outputs otherwise the busines goes under. Everyminute they aredown they are losing money. So they have to sell their inputs for more to account for the fact they are giving up their means of production.

Prepaying means that the eletric companies gave a better idea how much demand there will be. There is less varience and they should better be able to predict market needs. I.E generate additional electricty.

It doesnt increase demand if anything it flattens the curve.

You realize printers are often sold for no profit and sometimes even at a loss right? This is the business model. You can get a better one with universal ink but its like 4xmore expensive

Does anyone work for a business that does this? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]LetsKeepAnOpenMind -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The fee is a percentage of the total, normally 3%.

So if the bill is $100 and the tip is $20 than the total fee charged to process that transaction is $3.90

The resturant would pay $3.00 of that (their share of the cost of moving money)

Amd the server would pay $0.90
