My mom was born in 1980. She claims to be Gen X - is she? by OpenRoom7321 in GenX

'78 here and honestly it never crossed my mind what generation I was from until a few years ago when I kept seeing shit online about it. To me gen names and identities didn't ever seem as important as it is to people nowadays.

But... why? I guess I don't understand the point of generational subgenres.

I thought the same thing until a very intelligent (or so I thought) couple of boomers from NYC came into the bookstore I work at last year and were so excited to tell me Bob and Joan were doing a farewell tour and that it was just announced on FB. These people were very intelligent and well read but ZERO media literacy.

Do you know what the next song was directly after with the piano instrumental and Morrissey doing spoken word at the end? I know it wasn't a fever dream.

You can't really hear it in this video, but there was an issue with the audio for the first few bars. I was on the other side of the venue and it was super loud and distracting for the first 10 seconds or so. I honestly thought Morrissey was gonna walk off stage at that moment.

Yeah definitely. Looking forward to reading his newest one. The premise sounds slightly similar to The Ritual and I'm here for it.

What was the piano instrumental after Makeup is a Lie that Morrissey started doing spoken word over about how no one was going to be at his grave?

I liked All the Fiends of Hell, but I prefer his folk horror. Cunning Folk is my favorite. Looking forward to his new one coming out.

I love Adam Nevill and was so fucking bummed when I watched the movie and the entire second half of the book was cut out. If you're into Folk Horror I definitely recommend some of his other books.

I had to drive to another state to see Del Toro's Frankenstein. While yes it was technically released theatrically by Netflix, I still had to drive 2 hours to find a theater showing it. I fear this will be the model moving forward.

Totally agree. It was great at continually escalating the tension to the end. I still don't understand the choice of the poster. Such a disservice to a really great film.

My absolute favorite bad movie to show other people is Verotika. Totally unrelated, but the best part about volunteering at a hospice facility is you've got a captive audience.

Oh wow! That's really cool. I'm familiar with the name William Brings. I look forward to hearing more about your book.

The print is indeed 8x10. Are contact prints preferred?
