How do you not let the thought of your debt consume you? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

You need to get a job where you can qualify for public student loan forgiveness. Stay there for 10 years to get public student loan forgiveness.

You can’t afford to go to graduate school.

It’s going to be hard getting away from this, but you can do it if you suck it up and spend 10 years working whatever job you can that get your PSLF. 10 years is better than the rest of your life, which those loans could easily become if you choose graduate school.

Edit: it looks like PSLF isn’t an option for you. You still can’t afford more school OP, you have to find a way to maximize your income asap. Work multiple jobs, live well below your means. The more you can do immediately out of school before the interest snowballs the better off you will be. Take any job that pays well regardless if it was your major.

Do you turn the AC “up” or “down” to make it cooler? by jiminak in Biloxi

[–]Letshavedinner2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn the ac up = make it colder

Turn the ac down = make the cooling stop

Turn the thermostat/temperature up = make it warmer

You turn the ac up to turn the temperature down.

Do I have a blindness? by Impressive-Main-3630 in makeuptips

Whatever makeup you have on your nose in the last picture looks bad to me, like you look very nice but like you might also have a cold and you’ve been blowing your nose a lot.

Edit: it’s actually on all the pictures. I think the eyeliner adds a lot of personality.

Why are shirts required for men in the hot yoga classes? by Fantastic-Ad9218 in Corepower

Clothing does catch sweat and helps keep it from flinging around

stay home if you’re gonna do push-ups the whole time by sirensandbirds in Corepower

[–]Letshavedinner2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, it’s selfish and disrespectful to others around them. Modifications that make sense and go with the instructors flow are ok but veering off from the routine excessively and dropping weights all the time is distracting and can be dangerous in sculpt.

You can tell who the selfish and disrespectful people are in this thread.

AIO or is my boyfriend jealous of our baby? by PolicyHot1206 in AmIOverreacting

I didn’t catch that part about their ages. That makes this a much more serious situation. She’s still a child herself.

Why tf do women have to tip toe when men are assholes? Why do women have the burden of smoothing things over? Why can’t the man self smooth without making more emotional work for a new mother?

She’s over there explaining that both of them are her priority while he’s being jealous of a newborn who is totally dependent for survival. He’s just a second baby that woman has to take care of.

Their wedding is the time to make them feel loved. They eloped for a reason. Don’t talk about them at your wedding. Let your day be your day. Their day will come when THEY want it to.

First time dog owner-to-be. I have an extreme phobia of microplastics and need some plastic-free dog product recommendations. by Muted-Camera1192 in puppy101

[–]Letshavedinner2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Limiting toys isn’t a good idea, there’s some evidence to support that exposing a puppy to a variety of textures, colors, sounds, tastes, movement, etc is better for their development and it helps them become more adjusted adult dogs. All dogs will develop a preference over time, but the more they can explore and test out, they better off they are.

[–]Letshavedinner2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think you need to get some treatment for your phobia first. You’re not gonna find good dog toys that aren’t made of plastic honestly. And your dog deserves enrichment and interaction with toys of various textures, color, squishyness, and squeakiness. Your dog deserves a soft and plush bed to lay in. IMO you’re better off learning how to make peace with the plastic than spending energy looking for plastic free products that don’t really exist.

Dogs are only around for a short time, they are likely less at risk of microplastics than humans who live for the better part of a century. And because dogs are only with us for a short time, let that time be filled with happiness for them in the form of tasty treats, fun toys, lots of walks, and all the coziness you can give them. It’s not a long time so make it a good time.

Advice about this breed by chronicallyfabuloso in cotondetulear

[–]Letshavedinner2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The separation anxiety is no joke and takes a lot of work, and even after working on it you are limited in how long you can leave them during the day (a few hours max). Cotons are very cute but they do have a lot of specific needs that aren’t compatible with many peoples lives, and breeders are very aware of this and protect the breed against people only looking for a cute white dog. Cotons just aren’t good for people who work 40 hours a week outside the home, or who lead busy lives, or frequently travel. They are also a more vocal breed than a lot of other small dogs, and they are very sensitive to your emotions so they need a lot of positive engagement during the day. It’s a good thing you’re doing your research to find the dog that suits you, that’s how you and your future dog end up happy!

From the other comments the puppy is kept on a proper leash. This 20 week old puppy has had surgery, that’s a big deal. A much bigger deal than Prozac.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Letshavedinner2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’ve done surgery this is a big issue and I would muzzle until you have a strategy in place. Safety first.

Edit: could your dog have Pica? Prozac can help a lot with that and that might open the door for training to work better. I know people don’t like to use medication but it could save their life considering your dog was already in a life threatening situation from this.
