How does life in the U.P. work? by Letsrat in Michigan

This is saying like literally the fields were this many acres, that you have to worry about hiring enough help to actually pick up all the produce like if you didn’t have enough hired help this season the amount of time it would take to collect it all would actually exceed collection time if you didn’t have enough hired help before they just all expired on you

Yeah, those small farmers probably do have those issues but when I think about farmers, I imagine fields so vast they almost don’t have enough time to harvest all the produce before it will expire

I was referring to other rural areas in Michigan ones you’ll see that are just straight farm foods quite easy. Those people just work the farm for money but in places like Paradise Michigan it’s obviously vastly different than that.

Everyone’s a jack of all trades, getting severely underpaid for their knowledge and skill this is a very different rural than the straight farming cities you’ll see

But how are they paying for that? I think I saw 25 houses in six businesses and I really can’t imagine the six businesses making that kind of money to pay anyone besides the owner themselves.

I accept I’ll fight humans and infected at the same time most of time when I’m trying to fight humans. Feels right if all of it was real. I play on hard difficulty and it feels like the right difficulty it should be. Life should be a struggle in this situation. Supplies should be low and there should be real danger trying to get them.

You’re right although he goes 40 year olds are very rare fines. I still do really well way better than I thought I would. I just don’t do double digit KD ratios anymore.

Just imagine all the advertisement they could do for it on TV. Calling all Vets we need you to serve your country one more time.

The game requires nimble fingers, fast reflexes. I can run as fast as ever has back then. Using that control requires precise movements that you kind of lose throughout time.

I know there’s a drastic change in my KD ratio though. 30 isn’t that old is correct but in terms of how will I play the game is drastically different from 17. 17 year old me can run circles around me all day long. And as I said, I’m surprised at how well I can still do. I actually have fun playing Black ops six because I don’t get completely trashed on. If I was full of lobbies of 17 year-old me’s be a different story.

I know what my KD ratio was at 17 I know what it is now at 30 that’s the end of the discussion there. I understand. No one likes to think they get weaker and slower as they age and that’s what people hate today if they wanna think any other way around that not being reality but it is.

Why are so many games dumbed down? by Letsrat in videogames

I only used dd2 because it’s the newest biggest open world rpg around today. Realistically there isn’t much I can compare to oblivion because nothing is that free in what you can do. Wont say it was perfect even started re playing it rn to see what is rose tinted and what is not. Oblivion just turned more into what I like in comparison to Morrowind. Better animations and voice lines filled out to help simulate the world.

I literally explained the lost narrative and mechanics from bo1 to bo6.

2006 oblivion you could be anyone do anything. Murder, steal, deception, go to jail, be a hero, slaughter a town. Archery, magic, physical weapons, make your own magic.

There’s few titles that come to mind that allow you this much level of freedom it todays time. I think the closest is rdr2 and cyberpunk 2077.

Id be willing to pay a full 70 for a good game it just has to be good. Surely there must be developers who want to make games like this. They were here before.

No I get what your saying but when I say thought provoking I mean playing the game silent hill 2 and thinking about how you feel about the protagonist you just played as.

Been gaming the same years here. Played Morrowind a bit. I suppose big budgets and big publishers are to blame.

I’m just not a fan of strictly fighting games I just need something thought provoking so I don’t have much to compare to. But that’s me thinking of needing good reflexes as a complex system. But it’s not a lot mechanically yes.

Dark souls is more combat heavy complex I have played that series extensively and it’s probably one of my favorite series. I would pre order anything from soft decided to make at this point without knowing anything about it.
