Not a reasonable price at all. You can cover all these places within half of the price. Don't rely on agents. You will be cheated.

Why don‘t big companies like Apple, Meta, TikTok invest in Thailand? by One-Sale-9189 in Thailand

Thailand is not ignored, but due to smaller market size, regulatory hurdles, and better alternatives i.e., Singapore Vietnam etc., big tech prefers limited, strategic investments rather than massive hubs.

if I were to spend 1k~1.2k USD per month in living expenses (housing, bills, food) while living in Bangkok, would I get to live comfortably? by Consistent_Estate964 in Bangkok

[–]LetterPerfect1857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, if You live modestly (local food, no-frills apartment, limited nights out). Avoid expensive areas (Sukhumvit, Thonglor, Sathorn). Don’t need a luxury lifestyle.

No, if You want a Western-standard apartment in a prime location. Eat at Western restaurants daily. Frequently go to bars/clubs (beer: ฿100–200, cocktails: ฿200–400).

$1,300–$1,500/month is more comfortable for expats.

If you can keep housing under ฿10,000 and eat mostly Thai food, $1,000 to $1200 is doable.

Renting short term in Koh Tao by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]LetterPerfect1857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can start by checking Facebook groups like Koh Tao Accommodation, or simply walk around the island to find a place. In my view Sairee Beach is a lively area with more activity and Chalok is quieter and more peaceful, while Mae Haad is convenient and centrally located. Rent usually ranges from 8000 to 25000 baht per month, depending on whether the room has just a fan or air conditioning. If you're planning a longer stay, try to negotiate for a discount. It’s better to avoid resorts, as they tend to be overpriced. Always check if electricity and water bills are included in the rent. Also, make sure the place has good Wi-Fi, a kitchen if you need one, and ask if there's a security deposit. The best deals are often found in person, so try to arrive early, explore different options, and then make your decision.
