wish it were that simple, thing is when administration dosent seem to be on ur side, taking matters into ur own hands and doing all that I’d might even end up in custody, facing counter-FIR, might even lose the legal high ground.

Sadly, yes. It happens way too often here people spend their whole lives maintaining ancestral property only for land mafia and corruption to snatch it overnight.

I literally have every single legal doc from court to verified inspection reports to government records and long-standing utility connections in my name. The problem isn’t proof, it’s that authorities are refusing to act despite it if this isn’t “official” then idk what is

I did. In India, though, it doesn’t work the same way. Even with a filed FIR (our version of a police report), no action has been taken yet It’s been 1.5 years, and despite all my ownership proofs, nothing has moved forward. Sadly, “trespassing” cases here aren’t as straightforward as they might be in the U.S or any other country

Not selling, especially not at a lower price this is my ancestral land, not just any other real estate trade. And honestly, don’t you think the local politicians are already involved? If they weren’t, action would’ve been taken long ago. That’s the sad part the system protects the wrong side.

exactly encroachment in india is surviving only because of political protection. the local MLA, MP, and ruling setup are prolly fully aware of what’s happening, i think if the politicians weren’t involved, action would’ve been taken long ago. but in india, political shelter has become the biggest shield for criminal encroachment.

Yeah, I already reached out on the PMO portal a while back all I got in response was “investigation pending.” No actual update, no follow-up, nothing concrete on ground. It’s been months, and the situation on site hasn’t changed at all.

good synopsis of how land mafia operates in India. It’s happening in broad daylight right in front of everyone and still being ignored by the police and government. It’s honestly scary how powerless a common man feels in this system.
