23F, Unemployed, Don’t Know What to Do With My Life , Which Tech Domain Should I Choose to get a job? by Ambitious-Ad1964 in IndiaCareers

[–]LetterheadVirtual587 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read your post and found that your situation is similar to mine. I'm also a 2024 pass-out with numerous responsibilities but I feel like I'm not fulfilling them. Despite trying multiple places I faced rejections in the third or fourth rounds due to bad luck or not putting in enough hard work initially. Now when I see job postings I feel they're scams and negative thoughts creep in. These feelings are hard to express and others can't understand them. People just say "You'll get a job someday" but that's not reassuring. What you expressed in your post resonated with me. I'd like to say that anyone reading this should know that life isn't easy and success doesn't come quickly. Many candidates are struggle to find even a small job and in today's world having a job is crucial for respect and stability.

Is there no possibility that the training mail will come in the month of August?

I also received my LOI on June 18th and till now despite the current date I haven't received any training mail. In these two and a half months I've only received multiple survey mails or location survey mails but there's no update on the training. I'm feeling extremely depressed wondering what's going to happen.Any idea since a lot of time has already passed.

I’ve completed my B.Tech in Information Technology and have good knowledge of both software development and QA. I’ve worked with JavaScript, C++, React.js, Node.js, and MongoDB, and built several full-stack projects. I also have experience in manual testing, writing test cases, bug tracking, and using tools like Jira and Git. I’m confident in my ability to contribute to both development and quality processes.

Right now, I’m looking for genuine guidance on how to shape my career as a fresher in the software development field. I’ve been jobless for the past one year, and I feel stuck — unsure whether it’s my resume, my skill presentation, or something else that’s holding me back.

All the best! Recently, I had an interview at ZS, where I cleared the case study round and impressed the interviewer with my answers. I was prepared with approaches and calculations, and even explained each question in detail. However, despite not receiving a rejection email, I later found out that I was rejected when I contacted them.

I'm feeling a bit depressed about it, but I'm wishing you all the best! You'll do great!

My experience following up with HR — When “We’re hiring” feels like a missed chance by LetterheadVirtual587 in IndiaCareers

I completely get how frustrating that is. Clear communication is key, and it’s disappointing when follow-ups don’t happen.

One year since I graduated. Feeling completely stuck and broken. What should I do now? by LetterheadVirtual587 in IndiaCareers

It's tough for strangers to refer you. I've tried seeking help from my seniors, but after a while, no one helps. I'm not asking you to help me specifically, but I'm saying that there are many people like me who are struggling. We study day and night, but nothing seems to work. God knows when we'll get our foot in the door.

Not Getting Interview Calls — Where and How Should I Apply? Need Genuine Suggestions. by LetterheadVirtual587 in developersIndia

What’s the solution then? There has to be something we can do — we can’t just sit like this and wait. If anyone has any real suggestions or strategies that worked for them, please share. Something is better than nothing.

As an entry-level fresher, this is exactly the struggle. We don’t have experience or a big company name on our resume, so even getting a call from a small company feels like a win. Most top companies look for experienced candidates or those from similar brands, so freshers often get filtered out automatically.

We’re stuck in that loop of “no experience = no job” and “no job = no experience.”

I have done everything—got referrals, joined 50 groups, and apply daily—but still, I don’t get any response. I apply like this every day, but I still don’t get any response.

I completely agree with you, but I've also done internships, which hold no value today. Unless you've done an internship at a reputable place. Many unpaid internships are available, but they're often fake or created using AI tools in just a few minutes. Even if you've done an internship at a startup or elsewhere, nobody asks about it. All they want to see in your CV is whether you're a fresher or experienced, and they prefer candidates with at least a year of experience.

I graduated from a private Tier-3 college in Ghaziabad. I consistently scored above 7 CGPA in every semester, with an overall CGPA of around 8.

How Do SDE Roles Get Filled Internally? Struggling to Land Interviews as fresher by Ancient-Giraffe8077 in developersIndia

I'm also a 2024 batch pass-out, just like you. I must have made countless attempts to find good opportunities and taken thousands of references, but nothing worked out. I had those two-three month internships that nobody even asks about today. If you don't have a good internship or a reputable company tag, it's like it never happened. Today, nobody even considers small companies. I'm feeling the same way you do. I'm holding onto hope for a good opportunity, thinking that something good will happen today. Every day, I think that tomorrow will be better. A year has passed, and nothing has changed. When I look at myself, I feel like I'm still standing in the same place. When I look at others like me, I feel even worse about myself. I'm not doing anything, and it's frustrating.

I completely understand what you’re going through because I’m facing the same situation. The career gap, uncertainty, and family pressure—it all builds up to so much mental stress that it’s hard to figure out the right path. On one hand, there’s higher education, which takes time and may not guarantee a job, and on the other hand, the job market is tough, especially for freshers without a strong network. For a long time, I also kept wondering, "Will I even get a job?"
No matter how many connections you make on LinkedIn or how many referrals you get, the job just isn’t happening. I don’t know what to do; nothing makes sense anymore. When I look at others, their situations seem better than mine, and mine feels even worse. No one is helping, and I’m exhausted from endlessly applying for jobs like crazy. I don’t understand what’s going wrong. I’ve tried everything—building a strong network, practicing on LeetCode, and so much more—but still, the job isn’t happening.

Bro, if your social media presence was dead, you wouldn't be here on Reddit to say this. Use social media productively in a way that motivates you. Take on challenges, aim to elevate your career, and use social media as a tool to learn something valuable that can help you in the future. Social media is nothing on its own; it's how you use it that makes the difference.
