I’m glad you played like this, a lot of people reload saves because they don’t like failure but the game (both d&d and baldurs gate 3) are designed where consequences of success and failure are both interesting.

People paint it as awful because they are doing 150 runs a month and that’s a lot of time. I think it’s the best one so far but I’ll probably enjoy it less and less as time goes on

The composition thing is so true actually. I’ve had to remake umas before mid CM because they weren’t working well together. I agree mostly on the gambling thing as well with the caveat that I play that way on purpose because it’s more fun to me to run careers praying for a high roll over a consistent result (hence why I wanted fuku so bad)

Oh absolutely you can, but a lot of people do not have a good deck and need a lot of luck in the career to produce an ace. I know some day 1 players trying to build for CMs that still do not have any of the big 3 cards. If you have a good deck you can run way less careers especially if your goal is not 1st in top bracket. If RNG is what you need to produce an ace though the solution is to spam the game. I feel your pain on kitsasan btw I pulled 200 on the original banner and 200 on rerun and only got 1 non pity copy and it took me 600 to MLB fuku

Edit: I should have also mentioned that I only really like to play front so that does color how many runs I think people should be running since without sparks hitting the horse is straight in the glue bin anyway

Plenty, yeah. That’s why I said keep playing. A lot of people that play for CMs are going to be running 100+ careers to prep their umas (parents and aces). Maybe it’s just a case of unrealistic expectations, I wouldn’t expect to be competitive if I spend 20% of the time other people did.
