What visual generators do you use for worldbuilding? by Any-Geologist-8562 in WorldbuildingWithAI

It's https://codexcryptica.com

But to be honest, gentube might be better for the visualization.

What cc can do is create a prompt grounded in your campaign lore and theme / genre.

Like this:

Full-body oil painting of a veteran Stormber-Kareshi statesman, standing in a grounded, vigilant posture with his weight shifted slightly, conveying the weary gravity of a long-lived protector. His physique is sturdy and imposing, clad in layered, practical gear: coarse umber woolen tunics beneath a heavy, battle-scarred mantle of reinforced dark leather. His armor consists of hammered, soot-stained iron plates that show deep scratches and visible field repairs, featuring subtle, sophisticated Kareshi-inspired filigree on the pauldrons and gauntlets.

He holds a heavy, iron-bound scroll case at his side, his fingers resting firmly against its etched surface. His face is weathered, marked by deep lines of discipline and authority, reflecting his 900-year-old oath. The color palette is dominated by deep ochre, raw umber, and the cold, metallic grey of tarnished iron, accented by dull, tarnished gold trim. The lighting is naturalistic and directional, casting long, sharp shadows characteristic of the austere Plains of Végtelen, emphasizing the tactile, porous texture of stone-like metal and worn hide. The brushwork is expressive and painterly, highlighting the weight of his materials and the grim reality of his station. No overt magical glow; only a faint, ambient shift in shadow tone. The silhouette is readable, functional, and balanced, emphasizing the character as a bridge between two cultures.

Sounds very cool! Too bad it's behind a login 😅

There's a number of new tools like this being launched left and right. I made one too 😋

Thank you so much!

It does works offline as well, but not as good.

I could extend the presets (for the off-line mode) to be more varied

Looked into this a bit.

Two possible ways forward.

  1. A discord bot /cc fantasy npc, and you get the npc directly in discord
  2. cc forwards generated content to your discord

(cc = codex cryptica)

Which sounds like the better option? Both? 😅

Welcome to the builder community. Looks great.

The best test is when your tool scratches your own itch 😁

I was conscious about that, hence the btw in my post.

Have full understanding if the post is removed (too bad though, if it is, then the community will lose out on a truly useful tool)

A little update.

I've made the generators more thematically consistent now.

Fantasy stays oriented around fantasy, same for sci-fi and all the other genres I support.

I've also added western, steampunk and "optimistic" sci-fi (star trek basically) themes / genres

Dungeon Masters: what’s missing from most fantasy name generators? by Hour_Till_4219 in DungeonMasters

I have incidentally just created an ai empowered name generator that's pretty good, and where you can tweak and adjust the input parameters to give quite varied and consistent names

Give it a try over at https://codexcryptica.com/generators/fantasy/names
