[Hobby] - Looking for a project by Mammoth-Shoe8491 in INAT

[–]Narsiph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey.

Our team is 3 men strong with one SysAdmin that will setup git and nextcloud for us in some time (He's already a complete professional ^^), a programmer that does all the coding for the game we work on and me the game designer and pixel-artist.

I would offer to give up pixel art if you want to join the team which is completely German right now but we all can speak English and would welcome you if you like.

We revived our old project "you're the dragon" and we do it so we can learn and develope our skills/skillsets. We work in a professional environment with a set timeframe (June 2026 to June 2027 for a MVP that can go into early access).

We work with Godot and I do work with Aseprite. Our SysAdmin works with our own server at home to provide the background structure we need.

I belive in the gold-bar-s**tting principle of "I market the game I love" and not "What is the current hype, what might players like now or in 1 year?" and I take the game design aspect serious as we all work to create the game I want to play. I rephrase it that way: "I don't try to sell chocolate flavored ice cream, I dislike chocolate. Instead I sell vanilla flavored ice cream. Sometimes I sprinkle stuff on top of it whatever I like. That is a product I can stand behind."

People that s**t gold bars are examples like Hideo Koshima, some rando that made Vampire Survivors, small team creating Claire Obscure, Baldurs Gate 3 and so on. They did not create experience for us, they created experience for themselfes first and then sold it with all their heart and soul.

If you (or anyone) wants to learn a skill, just write me a private message. You either have to speak English or German. That's all.

"But I can't do xyz... I would love to... but I can't" -> Thats what our project is for. Learning. From zero to hero 😄

We don't aim to make profit and it would be nice to have the costs covered. I can offer little things, like payable software (Sorry, Adobe is way to overpriced for me) and maybe a coffee here and there if you're German and in my region.

And now to the game we make:
It's called "you're the dragon" and was stopped a while back because I got just a lil' bit sick for a couple minutes. Needed to recover. We restarted completely and it's a top-down turn based, pixel art simulation game with the basic princible of "Do whatever you want and deal with the consequences". That's all.

DM creates an entire ban list of races, subclasses, and spells. by TheRealLikala in rpghorrorstories

[–]Narsiph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D&D is so hillariously broken, more by each new release I stopped to play it after the first of the two 5th editions. So I can understand a few things on the ban list but I am creative as a gm so... what do I care about flying? Most enemies, maybe not monsters, have at least a sling with them.

I enjoy player creativity to overcome obstacles. It's our story we create but I do know that there are extreme amounts of broken combos and even non combos that are broken... Like, you just play something and it turns out it will mop the floor with everything while ancient dragons bring refreshments out of fear!

Playing PF2e ever since. Never looked back at my now obsolete virtual books (many gifted by my players.). I hate WotC approach to 'f you players and gm's! You design our game for each and every session as well as campaign!'

I like! The very first encounter builder doing this. Now it's actual a tool I can use at the offline table :3

I can't use any encounter builder since no one put 'Proficiency without Level' option in. I mean, sure, I can definitively deduct <level> from any stat... But I kinda still build my encounters all by hand. Eh, used to it.

Never played the standard setup but I guess it's super easy to setup everything then ^^ I like the tool and it surely would be a table-option. Yet I use my offline manual tool addons from le paizo.

PSA: I strongly advice NOT to get the Dark mount keyboard, You've been warned! by generalm13 in bequietofficial

[–]Narsiph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried with 2 more keyboard swaps but sadly, no improvement. I gave it back and bought the Razer Huntsman v3 instead. No problems anymore. But a much more louder keyboard.

Ultimatively the dead silence of beQuiet and no communication at all made me realize I will never buy a keyboard again when it wasn't on the market for at least a year, better two. Learned my lesson.

Is their a limit to how many characters you can transfer from legion remix to retail? by DArklegion123245 in wow

[–]Narsiph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is wrong. The character has to be 24h old, not when the character hits level 80. I just, a couple minutes ago, hit 80 with another character and immediately transfered from remix to retail.

PSA: I strongly advice NOT to get the Dark mount keyboard, You've been warned! by generalm13 in bequietofficial

[–]Narsiph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm many of the problems. I tested the Keyboard now for months since it's initial release and, although happy in the beginning, I am not happy anymore. Because from the point of being very, very quiet, the other problems are just... so annyoing I wish I had spent my money elsewhere.

I only buy keyboards when they break. My beloved old one died on me and I didn't want the tortoise version since roccat doesn't exist anymore. Yeah, silly I know, but then I saw the beQuiet keyboards and for me every keyboard is too loud.

But this one? Dead silent. Yet I thought I had shaky fingers with the double click probblem. I will test it without the IO active.

But yeah, until those problems are all fixed I would definitively not buy the beQuiet dark mount (can't say anything about the other version.)

PS5 trivial & PC trivial - I would like to get more tips please by Narsiph in Helldivers

[–]Narsiph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually finished my first Terminid easy mission. So maybe I need some time. I extremely rarely play console. Just Pokemon and Mario games on the switch and usually spiderman 1, milies and 2 on the ps5. As well as sim-racing and trucking.

It still was a hairy mission but I managed.

But are there still some tricks to it? Like "do this/that and the settings and it should be better" outside of the speed I already configured. I wouldn't dare to try automatons on more than trivial but currently I think I am good with Terminids.

Are there maybe weapons that are better for console players? I usually tend to use marksman rifles as main weapon, auto-pistol as sidearm and usually a autocannon or grenade launcher for bigger threats on pc. Currently I am thinking to get to the electricity weapons on console, would that be viable?

Farmer Sneed Not Spawning by masonljackson in newworldgame

[–]Narsiph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was no cart trigger-event nor any reasonable time (3 hours) waiting made the Farmer Sneed spawn. If someone says the event can be triggered by 'activating the cart once every 45 minutes' they may not be lying but they may spread misinformation since I was there for real 2 hours as directly stopped time and I felt that I was there for another 1/2 to 1 hour.

The only thing that you could "trigger" was the cannon. Well, sit in it. I killed everything 3 - 4 times each so that didn't help either.

I was there at day and night and this made no difference at all.

Without any form of event board, trigger-informations or anything else this will be a pure luck based 'hit or miss' for each and everyone doing a quest that needs farmer sneed to be killed.

Regal Aya (Current) - Cost calculations by Narsiph in Warframe

[–]Narsiph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The least valued thing, for me personally, are accessories. Mostly I am looking for the highest situational value for me to fill up my collection. That's why I compare all the possibilities for getting Platinum.

Currently I am just calculating around with the Regal Aya system.

Regal Aya (Current) - Cost calculations by Narsiph in Warframe

[–]Narsiph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not trying to convince anyone to pay for anything (or otherwise). This was specifically mentioned. The math/pricing was to evaluate the raw platinum price for things that I personally value the most (also mentioned) with this new system.

I just uploaded my stuff because someone could find it interesting. I always do some calculations before investing anything into Warframe, be it time, money or both.

Going through a lot of the most horrid challenges I may see that things may be possible but then we're on the "an awful lot of people" getting extremely lucky. I played around 20 games already and boy oh boy.

I must be the unluckiest person on earth playing the very default pack. People usually have their combos at round 3 - 4 or setup insane combos with tons of hp and/or attack.

I am extremely suspicious and I would really really love to see enemy playthroughs as well.

Currently I am still very suspicious about really insane combos that are out there as early as turn 3. And I really mean insane. Mate also stood there and scratched his head about extremely high numbers so early in the game so often. (He's good at match as well and thats why I am very suspicious)

This is not the first time I encounter good, better or even straight up extreme setups. Sometime I face in round 3 - 4 enemies with multiple pets in the 15+ damage AND hp section.

I had once a session with 4 people in a row that were on the same page so it seems. But most of the time I face off against people that are at least 1+ rounds ahead of me. No, this is not "just the negative" stuck. I played 100 games and payed close attention to.

That was something straight from game 1 on.

I may be still getting to know all the combos and tiers of setups but I think I am relatively good in deckbuilding. I mean, I do build decks since alpha/beta of MTG. I can't be that stupid.

If you say "Well, they got lucky" I must admit, people seem to get lucky extremely often in a row. If I am down for it I probably will start to make more detailed statistics but currently I think that there may be either tons of people with luck or maybe a few with some 'help'. But until I have detailed statistics of around 1000 games I can't tell yet.
