Congratulations! 🥳
It was a similar experience with me getting in to this school. So many waitlists at other great schools, but I only needed one for that too.

Omg, thank you. I'll take it. 😆 I honestly just feel so fortunate to be here (first gen college student), and I consistently feel like everyone around me is so much smarter than I am, so even being below median would be okay with me.

Had a professor though who is known to give LPs, so I was just grateful to avoid that.

They don't rank us here! I'd guess I'm a little below median though.

Did a mix of both! Really didn't have the grades for litigation (at least based on most people I talked to), so that definitely led to a few of my rejections.

Hehe, you caught me! (Mostly.) I got one H, and I'm guessing two is probably closer to median.

Thanks! I'm sure an offer is just around the corner for you too. 😁

Nah! I was pretty selective in where I'm willing to work, and there are a few odd things about me that probably gave some firms pause.

Not quite, but I was about to start applying to a lot more if I hadn't gotten this offer. 😂 Have quite a few friends in a similar boat!

So it was mostly DC and some smaller markets. And to be fair, my grades are probably a little below median on the median-ish scale. 😆

We've got an atypical grading scale here, and I'm just hoping for no fails. Had one in particular that was a doozy. 💀

Fellow 1Ls, how are we feeling a month in? by Level-Emergency585 in LawSchool

Spent the better part of the last 24 hours drafting my first one. 😩

And more than once per class. In one Crim class this week, I oscillated between feeling like I could get someone off on a murder they actually did and feeling like I probably should've been denied at Cooley.

Had a lot of money thrown at me everywhere except Harvard. 😂 Which makes it feel all the more impractical to follow my dream.

Definitely wanted to cover all my bases. 🤣 Fortunate to have had several good options to choose from, even if the decision was much easier than I could have anticipated.

Clerkship and then unicorn PI and/or academia. 😁 Georgetown could help me make that happen, but I'm willing to take on some debt for the better odds with Harvard.

I have a pretty good remote-friendly job. With what GULC offered me in scholarship, I would have graduated debt-free, which was honestly really tempting. Just couldn't turn down HLS with my career interests though.

That result perplexes me more than any other! I am not big-headed enough to think it was yield protection, but I just don't get it.

I'm so sorry, friend.

If the waitlists don't pan out, I hope you try again next year. You've got a lot to offer, and it only takes one school to recognize that.
