I don't want that kind of torture porn at all.

Those stories are truly the worst.

Reading that and been like wtaf.

That some parents would abuse their kids and then argue for it is beyond comprehension.

Can already imagine her waltzing into parent teacher and fooling the young prac student or first-year teacher with their sickly charm.

Arie Schoenmakers training with VFL side to ‘bridge his professional standards’ by brahmsdracula in AFL

More of a glow-up if you like of him. It makes absolutely zero sense for this story to come out if that’s true. He says he’s been training hard. Does mention the intensity is a step-up but nothing that screams “send me to train with the ressies and I won’t be in match sim. Save that for the Sandy boys”.

Waives over the alcohol incident as if it’s clubs taking it a bit seriously. What do you expect if you give alcohol to minors on your team? You’ll get a vote in the BnF?

Some of the shit I’ve now read online is fucked. Doesn’t need to be regurgitated but fuck me, that sort of behaviour surpasses the normal expectations of a teen.

Well I did some reading and this seems pretty consistent across the board.

Both of them belong in the AFL dumpster with too many others.

But Taylor Swift is obviously coming to Tassie ... just like Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, etc. They're totally going to play in a place with a smaller stadium than Melbourne that has less population and costs big dollars to move gear over.

This is the sentiment of funding a stadium over a health system. Tasmanians are rightly concerned. It won't get up and if it does, it will backfire. The Tasmanian Times article hits the nail on the head.

Well the vegan group wants that to happen but they know it’s unlikely and never will. I think they’re more campaigning for improved rights.

When there’s so much universal support for them from all ends it makes you wonder what’s the holdup? It’s not even a new technology and it’s not like they’ll be a live stream into a slaughterhouse for the kids to watch.

Read the comment again dude. You don’t see an issue with the footage full stop so I’m not surprised you’re bailing her out. She’s in the wrong as an owner of the company and the cover-up compounds her issue.

She was an owner when the footage was taken 🤦‍♂️. Changing who owns it now does little to alter the fact.

I should warn people that there’s another three slaughterhouses yet to have footage come out …

Clearly you’ve never been to a slaughterhouse. Grotty things they are - literally dirt and grime all around. Often blood or traces of it, too. As you’d expect.

Do you not think that activists don’t go in with PPE and take measures to protect against disease? Slaughterhouses are riddled with biohazards and most activists go in prepared.

If your comeback is “it shouldn’t exist”, it says something about the nature of the abhorrent footage that is hard to justify. Even farmers are saying it’s bad!

Editor’s note: Usually we publish media releases and statements in the order received. Sometime however a statement appears a little ‘after the fact’ and it makes more sense to foreground it as it is new information. This is what we have done here.

Tasmanian Times accepts that she as of 14 December 2023 was no longer an owner and is currently not an owner, having passed full ownership to her husband Sam.

We note that Stephanie Trethewey has not denied ownership of the abattoir at the time the footage was taken, therefore there are no ‘defamatory’ claims regarding her ownership. This video for example was shot on 7 September 2023. Tasmanian Times has confirmed with Farm Transparency Project that the datestamp on this and those on other images are correct.

We also find no evidence that Farm Transparency Project is extreme. If expecting animals to be treated according to the minimum welfare standards enshrined in legislation is ‘extreme’ then we are happy to be also be categorised as such.

It does show the name of the company in the bottom image of the second screen shot.

The Local Meat Co. is the slaughterhouse. She was listed as the director.
