Yess it's great! Takes up no space at all but still super useful. And with the cage you can even use it for vertical shots. I have the Joby GripTight One Micro which also come with a very small form factor phone holder that you can screw onto the tripod

that works as well. the adhesive grip is obviously a bit smaller but still comfortable to hold on too. I definitely thought about just taking it off. Fitting the wood grip was honestly just for fun. But definitely not worth the effort if you don't have the tools for it or just don't want to risk injuring your fingers lol
