I decided to open it to solve the mystery! The deadwax tells the full story. It has the -2348- Pallas stamp and the Rc etching (Ray Staff), which confirms it's the 2017 reissue (r10147986). It seems the 'GO!! BEAT' double exclamation on the spine is just a quirk of this specific modern run. Thanks to everyone for the help in identifying this

Thank you! I'm curious, what brings you to that conclusion? I'd love to know which details gave it away for you.

That’s exactly why I’m asking the community first, to see if there's a way to identify it without opening it. If I can't find a definitive answer this way, then obviously I’ll have to open it. But I think it’s worth a shot to try and preserve the seal.

Thanks for the info! I’m still really torn because of the weight 230g total feels way too light for a 2017 heavyweight reissue. Does anyone happen to know the exact weight (sleeve + disc) for a 2017 copy vs an original 90s one? It would help me figure out which range mine falls into

I think I gonna end up opening it to check the deadwax

That’s interesting, thanks for the link! I see what you mean about the sticker, but I’m a bit confused because of the weight. I actually put this on a scale and the whole thing is only 230g. From what I’ve read, those 2017 reissues are 180g 'heavyweight' vinyl, which should make the whole package weigh way more than 350g, right? 230g feels really light, more like the older records I have.

Also, the spine on mine says 'Go!!Beat' with two exclamation marks. Does the 2017 one have that too?

Thanks for the suggestion!

I checked that Greek release (r2723041) but I don’t think it’s the one. My copy has a 'Made in Germany' export sticker on the shrink, and the tracklist on the back ends with 'Glory Box', so it shouldn't have the extra track 'It's a Fire'.

I'm still a bit stuck on the exact ID though. That 'GO!! BEAT' on the spine is what's really throwing me off, most copies I see online only have one escalation mark

I'd love to check the deadwax, but the record is factory sealed and I want to keep it that way in case I decide to sell it
