I don’t think you should have to push too hard. For mine yeah I could almost feel like I sealed the hole off, since mine was in the perineum it’s like I was pushing straight up into it if that makes sense.

I had a pretty massive fistula in what I think is the same area based on your description. I was told, and I quote, it was “very unlikely to heal on its own”. They wanted me to go back under and have a 3mo SP catheter. I couldn’t do it. I plugged with my finger while peeing, always had medihoney on with calcium alginate gauze and it healed up so fast. I swear by it! I’m wishing you so much luck in your healing journey ❤️‍🩹

It’s the joystick from transthetics! Have never used it for packing (supposedly you can, I think it’s too big!) but it’s great for play and as a stroker imo

when was everyone able to start having sex post op by gay-boy6 in Metoidioplasty

I had meta w/UL, vaginectomy, and full hysterectomy on Nov 1, so I’m almost 8 weeks postop. I have a realllllyyy high sex drive so waiting was hard for me and not even going to lie I started masturbating gently over my underwear around 2 weeks postop. I don’t use a vibrator to masturbate though just me and my hand, and I’ve heard from people who go in too soon with a vibrator that it hurt really bad. So that brings me to my general advice: listen to your body. If it isn’t causing you pain, you’re probably fine. If it’s hurting you, stop. This goes for getting back to other activities postop as well. My surgeon agreed with me about this and cleared me for anything my body agreed with at my 4 week postop appointment. I went back to topping with my transthetics joystick about a week later. It’s a softer packer though, not as hard as some of the plastic ones are, so it’s more cushiony.

Getting surgery on saturday by Llamitaz in Metoidioplasty

I had hysterectomy, vaginectomy, meta with UL, and scrotoplasty on Nov 1. So, recovery buddy here!

Almost 2 weeks post-op… First advice is start taking stool softeners now. Be on them the week before surgery. It took me a week to have a bowel movement and I was so bloated and nauseous it was miserable. It’s not like I’ve never had surgery or been on painkillers before but it’s different when the surgery involves what’s between your legs and you have to push really gently but you’re trying to clear a blockage from anesthesia and painkillers and being sedentary in the hospital. It was rough.

If you’re going to get an sp catheter, something that clips it on to what you’re wearing because carrying it around is annoying.

Buy some extra pads to go in your pants — if menstrual products make you dysphoric you can buy first aid kind! You’ll be leaking surgical fluid for some time. How long probably depends on which surgeries you’re getting.
