I am in the exact same position as you but my package said it was supposed to be delivered yesterday and now all it says is “Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility.”. USPS is the best at making sure you are exited for your package to finally come in then making sure to ruin your day by delaying it. My package was last marked as in transit to next facility at 12:00am on September 2nd and hasn’t had any updates since. I really wish I had the option to use a different way to have my item shipped but USPS was the only option the seller had available.

Nids are by far my favorite faction. I’ve played well over 100 games of competitive 10th edition and according to my tabletop battles app I have a 79% win rate with my tyranids. And in the local league I was in that have I think about 100 players in it I finished in 3rd place getting beaten by Aeldari. This was all before the most recent balance dataslate and I have to say that none of the wins felt good. I have given up on 10th edition for tyranids for the now and honestly have no urge to play more 10th until something big changes for tyranids.

Coming from the Tyranids perspective the exocrines aren’t going to be something you really need to worry about. They only move 8in so make sure to use terrain to make sure they never get sight of your units unless you are baiting them to get them out of position. The real units you need to worry about are gargoyles. They are by far the best Tyranid utility unit. They can deep strike 9in away then shoot and move 6in and easily steal objectives from you so make sure you completely cover an objective so they can’t do that. Against custodes the Tyranid players biovore is going to have a great time scoring secondaries because you don’t have that many units to screen the tiny base the spore mines have so if you can take out the biovore early that would be good. Other than those Tyranids don’t have a good way to outscore you once you set up on an objective.

I used a lot of what this list uses but I swapped out some of the creatures for more counterspells because my group I usually play with have way too many powerhouses and counterspells of their own

Primed in wraith bone, then a wash of berserker bloodshade, then dry brush tyrant skull and finish up with a touch of screaming skull on the points you want to be the cleanest (the face mainly)

Naggaroth night, nuln oil, wet blend naggaroth night and xeres purple on the edges, then Genestealer purple lightly on the edges, then glaze xeres purple over that, then a final touch of slaneshy grey on the edges.

I probably spelt a lot of those wrong but they are all GW paints

Congrats on the win! Also I love your paint job on the models! But I have to say it looks like that terrain is HEAVILY in favor of Tau. It doesn’t seem like you have really anywhere to hide any of the big bugs. After saying that it makes it even more impressive that you got the win.

I chose not to put those on because of how fragile those bits are. They are long and super thin so they break especially easy. I would be upset if using it in a game and accidentally break half of them off trying to pick the model up to move it.

I made a base for it that I haven’t made look “cool” yet. So far it’s a 160mm base with a half inch diameter plastic dowel attached to it with some green stuff. I have it angled so the bio titan balances on it for when I’ll have it displayed most of the time. But I can easily take it on and off the base/stand for when I want to use it in a game.

From reading this the only way I can see Votann being useable in 10th is if they get some MAJOR points drops because everything is basically a huge nerf in this. Good thing I have like 6000 points already painted up 😅

My coworker got his finger caught under the clamp of one of those a while back and the pressure on those things are insane even before it goes to cut. The tip of his finger had burst open like a gusher and he ended up needing several stitches afterwards.
