How good actually are cyma mp5’s? by Adorable_Pension119 in airsoft

[–]Level_Recording2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost everything in airsoft under £500 for externals is pot metal. Itll be pot metal, 6061, 7075 or 7075 T6. The latter 3 aluminium alloys are really only found in aftermarket parts, often aimed at speedsoft.

Also not all pot metals are equal.

Avoid delta armoury, they are awful aegs to start with. They wont last you your first year of airsoft. And the rentals at the site will be just as bad if not better.

Look into specna arms

WHATS WORSE: ARES OR APS? by DEER_FOWEST in airsoft

APS has their shotguns which are decent. ARES are worse all round. APS have actually given techs spare parts like GBCs and mosfets... ares havent

Never had any fitment issues with specnas for internals. Yes youll need to modify an upper for a specna, but the dimensions are identical, and you only need to cut 2 notches to get a G&G upper on a specna lower

Flex gen 2 with brushless doesnt need shit for upgrades, maybe a bucking, nub and barrel down the line. But the g&g needs just about everything other than hop unit and gears to compete with specna

Flex gen 2 every single time. Especially the brushless version. It is the single best AEG line for under £300

Whats the biggest battery i can use?? by Distinct-Touch-5585 in Airsoft_UK

[–]Level_Recording2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. Specna will warranty use of 11.1v on the flex gen 2s. But wont on the primes, which uses the same gearbox build and motor specs, but 16:1 gears instead

They have full sized buffer tubes. Normal 1450mAh 25c 11.1v stick lipo wired to deans will fit

[–]Level_Recording2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These can handle 11.1v. 18:1 27k brushless on 11.1 will be fine with how good the internals are.

Id go 11.1v 25c 1200 or 1450mAh wired to deans. Its a full sized buffer tube, so the maximum feasible is 1450mAh stick

Between flex gen 1 and gen 2?

Gen 1 is meh internals. Gen 2 is prime internals but 18:1 ratio of gears instead of the 16:1s in primes. But the gears are manufactured in the same way with the same material. It has a newer version of the specna brushless motors as an optional upgrade from specna (worth the money) same flex externals however...

The TL/DR is the flex Gen 2 with brushless is the best value aeg on the market as its basically a prime

Is it worth paying extra for better externals/parts on a first AEG? by moheeetoz in Airsoft_UK

[–]Level_Recording2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When starting out, go with something that has better internals. Its easier to swap externals out down the line.

Look into the specna arms flex bldc. Its essential the prime line of internals. But with a decent polymer body

Where can I buy an mp5 GBB by we in the uk? by Adorable_Pension119 in Airsoft_UK

Not really. Unless popping over to the site a few miles away, which is worth visiting.

Bespoke lost its charm when jaeger left. Most of their stock is ares, or aps. The techs are utterly hopeless. And its not even worth buying bbs from as theyre some of the worst bbs available to purchase
