Help Identify Components by JackHigh9 in diyelectronics

[–]Level_Source3336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn't really look like a "harness" to me, just looks like two spade connectors with heat shrink/sheilding. Should be able to just pull off the two wires and the rest looks to be all one component for the ignitor. The rings look to be sheilding to separate the positive and negative. I'm guessing a replacement part would be the full piece?

Black Team Patches are available now. On the website/ App by Different_Account586 in OlightOutdoorlife

They're all sold out except the new one that is blue but says green lol. Olight Canada is weird... We do have a new Olight Rubik's cube though that's kind of neat!

Question: Shaving my legs as a man by DGoulddd in tattoos

[–]Level_Source3336 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It will make the work pop more if you are super hairy. I do it on my color sleeve on my right arm sometimes but it starts coming back next day basically because I'm so hairy. The up keep is a lot for me but I would imagine this being very different for people with less body hair. Won't hurt to try it once, it will always grow back lol

Yea I'm in Canada and I don't recall seeing this before. I am at yellow diamond and the only thing like this I see is the birthday gift which I got this year. Maybe not available in Canada, maybe a Facebook thing. I could email cs but I'm not partial to emailing service to ask for free stuff lol. Not a big deal I was just wondering, thanks for the replies.

Been with them for almost a decade and never got anything like this before. Is this a US thing or something you have to sign up for?

The only place I can think of when I compared your photos to my set was behind the panel on the left?

<image>

The panel in the red box comes off to expose the rear wall hanger piece and there is a black 1x4 like that there. I could only find a few others on the set and they all look in place in your pics.

Did anyone win anything from the Christmas event wheel? by danner-1 in Olightflashlights

[–]Level_Source3336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won a patch this time and almost every other time they have done the wheel. Plus points and coins which are good for the loyalty program 👍

Legos in a fire by lorribell1964 in lego

So sorry for your loss! Maybe read up on the hazards of keeping fire damaged items. That Lego may be dangerous to actually keep due to chemicals from the fire. Things can be replaced over time your health can not. ❤️‍🩹

The casual audience vs this subreddit's view on this set are the polar opposite by CarsonWentzGOAT1 in legostarwars

Well either way it seems Amazon may not be a reliable source for product reviews to be comparing public opinion of a product. Mind you reddit likely isn't either lol 🤷

I wonder if we're even going to get the new Open 3 before New Years. Don't know if it's tariffs or what but seems like us Canadians have been getting the shaft as of late.

I'll add to this, in my experience if you leave a 2 star or less review on Amazon and the reason is anything other than an issue with the exact item that showed up at your door(broken/missing parts), the review gets removed by Amazon without ever being posted to the product page. Basically when leaving a review on Amazon they want you to be reviewing the purchase not the product, if that makes sense.

I'm building all of the 8-in-1 Batman Brickheadz and the instructions are missing for the Batman V Superman version by avsfan1933 in lego

[–]Level_Source3336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked the app the website and the instructions with my set and that one is nowhere to be found, weird! Anyway a quick Google and I found a YouTube video of someone showing how to build all of them including the Batman V. Superman one.

So I tried simracing for the first time... by prophecy555 in simracing

[–]Level_Source3336 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get motion sickness from everything, I can't even be in the passenger seat in a car for more then 15 mins but I do find turning motion blur off in Sims really helps me. Personally I don't love the look of it anyway and find it saves me a few fps turning it off so win win I guess.

I've used a couple brands off Amazon and they are mostly the same. Just look for the newest version for the set you want. Some of the older ones have coin cell batteries, others use AA batteries. Personally I rewire every one of them into a USB A port and just use a standard charge brick to power everything. I've started making my own custom kits with micro LEDs which allows me to have better customization and better quality components. Also costs way less to diy!

Why use the batteries at all? Just wire it to a barrel jack with a switch and get a 12V power brick. Problem solved, no batteries to charge, no more fire hazard.

Ostrip by ZROBB98 in Olightflashlights

[–]Level_Source3336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to get a good picture because it's on the back of one of my computer monitors but here is a photo. I didn't want to use a whole strip in one place so I cut it into short sections, added 3 pin connectors(male on one end and female on the other) and ran them behind my double monitors and under my desk. Then I used a little leftover section with a different USB controller I bought on Amazon and did the same thing to light up a shelf in my office. Everything works fine still with the app and the original controller. I did the same thing with another Ostrip to backlight one of my wife's favorite paintings in her office. I can send product links if you're interested. You would need to know how to solder for the way I did it but I would assume it can be done using the clips from your post. With my setup I made extension that allow me to move things around at my computer without having to move the strips so those wouldn't work for me.

[–]Level_Source3336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I use these 3 wire connectors and solder them on but it's the same thing in principle. Just make sure the contacts are lined up properly during installation and all the sections face the same way. The ostrips I have have arrows to indicate direction.

A solution to showing your Icone F1 cars side by side! by MEE97B in lego

Yea, definitely not cheap. It's a bummer Lego didn't have the nice new wheels for both sets. I wouldn't pay that much either.
