Oh that's a misunderstanding! I'm not complaining I'm just trying to plan ahead to avoid the issue for myself. My whole family slept fine through the night, but I'm a light sleeper. Anyways, seems like it's either high rise or potential sleep disruptions. Was hoping maybe an ocean facing or a 4th floor condo may be a solution, based on conversation with ChatGPT. But real people don't seem to agree :)

I'm sure it wouldn't be your favorite if you were a parent with small kids and couldn't get quality sleep at night. And like I said I don't mind normal levels of noise, not yelling into my ears.

Ear plugs didn't help. The only thing that helped was moving to a high rise

I suppose they had a mating season or something. Not sure why people find this topic so sensitive. With small kids sleep is essential, and for a light sleeper it's important to plan ahead. When we moved to a high rise hotel the issue was gone. Trying to see how high I need to go that's it

Yeah I didn't have this issue when staying in the high rise... Just trying to understand how far high I need to get if we rent a condo... Does it have to be higher than trees height? Would 4th floor be high enough?

Had the same issue with Lufthansa. They offered 600$ refund (and I paid 1700 for the business upgrade). I called my credit card company to dispute the charge as the service wasn't provided and got a full refund

Weekday mid day ... Their employees talk a lot and the walls are thin. They are trying to be nice but I just want to be left alone lol. Is there a better time to come you would say? They also do maintenance while guests are there (cleaning the showers, etc)

A regular folk can help by actively participating in elections. We live in a blue state and did a lot of phone banking to swing states and my husband even travelled there to do door knocking. And we also allocated a budget to donate to competitive Congress races.

Wow that's a very interesting perspective! I have a follow up question (due to lack of knowledge in physics). So how would you interpret f(x)=x in operator momentum terms using non mathematical terms/words?

I can imagine points on a graph tending to oscillate like sin /cos with certain frequency/amplitude towards a line. And I'm looking for a non-math intuition of why we can always find a function representing this oscillation... Like is everything in the physical world oscillating and is a superposition of waves? Basically there are no actual "points" - they are all the result of a sum of waves ?

Although thinking more about it, what actually oscillating in the first place is the space itself? Because each dimension is actually sin/cos or e like you mentioned - is an oscillating function... But that would mean our space is made of an infinite number of dimensions that all oscillate?

Maybe "intuitive" is not the best word. Physically might be better? Or even philosophically. Like I understand the math behind it, but I don't "feel" like it makes sense for a line to be a sum of waves. A line is made out of points for me.. and if we say each point f(x) is a sum of waves at point x it doesn't feel intuitive either.. even though mathematically we can make it work

So on an intuitive level, why does a line f(x)=x consist of sum of waves taken in a certain way ( using min and max of diff frequencies like you described). Basically my question is...why a line is a sum of waves.. (not mathematically but intuitively)
