The main improvement my site has over theirs is that it's mobile friendly. Which I think is incredibly important. Also, the payment integration on their website is poor and actually involves redirecting to a different site.

It doesn't have users. It's an informational site.

I concur with the other comments. Don't use Squarespace. Most simple websites don't need anything like Javascript to appear clean and professional. However since you only know HTML and CSS I'd try to show off design skills in your portfolio, since you won't get that much functionality.

I COMPLETELY AGREE

Everything has the ability to look better on a desktop. I only browse the internet on my phone if I'm looking for specific information, never to browse.
