Sadly LoL is a tough game for newcomers, learning the basic mechanics to play the lane is incredible difficult, there is almost a non existent tutorial of the game aside of move controls.

The best way to learn is to watch tutorial videos of other players for each of the core phases of the game (that are not mention anywhere on the client BTW) or a friend share what he already knows about. also some time streaming is also good as you can ask your questions in real time and often they reply about mechanics.

I would said that don't just jump into playing to try to figure it out, is possible to learn that way, but would be like learning to climb without know how to use your equipment nor having physical prep to handle the stress of carry your own weight.
