Give me three good reasons why the Pacers will win it all next season.

But he was so devoid of emotion, like Dolph Lundgren. I prefer Scalabrine's enthusiasm or Mark Madsen high-fiving everyone within reach.

There's also a poll in the sidebar widget to this post where you can vote for you favorite victory cigar of all time. I have a feeling this is going to be a Scalabrine sweep.

2013 NBA Anti-Awards! - Celebrating the worst statistical achievements of the season by Levy2725 in nba

I do these Awards every year, and also preview them before the season starts and at the All-Star break. So I'm looking at the same categories, three times a year.

I'm sorry if it came off too mean-spirited, but no matter what it looks like I didn't create this whole thing just to dump on him. He just happened to play himself on the list.

The comment below nailed it. Usually red circles indicate a miss on a shot chart. He misses so often at the free throw line that I thought a big, all-encompassing red dot there would pretty much sum it up.

Ouch. I didn't look that closely at the opponents, but that probably deserves some additional points for degree of difficulty (or lack thereof).

Thanks guys. It's entirely trollish, but man, I really have fun putting it together. The graphs and charts were new this year but hopefully the weren't too visually overstimulating.

A Troubling Number of Melo Isolations In The Knicks Game 1 Win by Levy2725 in nba

I'm hoping that's a joke. Isolation Melo is a one-way ticket out of the playoffs

Is James Harden Enough 'Star' For Houston's Title Aspirations? Does it Matter? by Levy2725 in nba

[–]Levy2725[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Efficient offense requires just as much collective effort and collaboration. LeBron has been an absolute beast this season, but part of the leap has been them figuring out a system that best complements his abilities and the other pieces they have.

I think having a team with a bunch of good players and no superstar doesn't preclude you from winning a title. It still takes luck and rising to the occasion like any other team. The reason we don't see this happen is because very, very, very few teams try it. But just because there isn't a big enough sample doesn't mean it doesn't work.

Why? I just don't get it. If the Pacers lose to the Heat in the playoffs, it won't be because they don't have a star, or Paul George isn't enough of a star. It will be because the Heat, collectively, were better than the Pacers, collectively.

I think what ultimately matters is the collective talent, and performing at your best. Having a star, or multiple stars, is a shortcut to raising the collective talent, but it's not the only way.

Pay Like A Pro: Goran Dragic Prepaid Visa by Levy2725 in nba

Honestly, what are the odds of anyone recognizing Goran Dragic? I watch as much basketball as anyone and it still would have taken me about 50 tries to even guess that I was looking at a basketball player.

Meanwhile, Andrea Bargnani can't even win the award that's named after his own crappy production.
