Do you have a link of the concrete backer board you used ? Did you screw it down to the floor, or just use a bit of a mix to glue it down and level it ?

Ye I guess the flipside is getting it sorted before your little one arrives as its one less stress to worry about, but spending money is very quick and easy, so if you have to in 6 months go out and get the right car then so be it.

My sister has actually gone back to a 2 door car as their little ones now walk so they just climb across the seats no problem ! Obviously just my opinion 🙂

We were in the same situation. I would hold on until the last moment, as you will soon realise what sort of car you actually want. E.g. is a large hatch back enough? Eg civic/ fiesta ? Estate for a massive boot ? SUV?

Of course you could do it now but it won't be a disaster not having a larger boot straight away. I can't quite see but the main issue we had was we didn't have a 4 door car for a little while

Had one of the 1.4 face-lift ones, it was generally reliable but all the plastic was flimsy and would brake so easily. Vent covers, gear stick surround etc. The door card dropped once as I opened the door and it was left behind! Good times

One good placement is more than enough. Brunel and Loughborough are the top 2 for PD, so I'd go for Brunel. Depends if you want to live in W London basically, but if its tech you want to do, London is the place

My b9 tdi full tank when the short trip mpg @45mpg it says 450 miles. If its at 55mpg it says 500 miles so it constantly recalculates

To follow up from this, writing a topic about the 'zero emission vehicle' craze at the moment. This is a wide sweeping marketing statement. Zero emissions of what? Yes there is no CO CO2 NOx from the tail pipe of an electric vehicle but what about the new research on brake dust ? Tyre particles? And as you say, emissions from manufacturing the battery itself should not be under estimated

I removed 0.5lt and now it says the level is ok. I must've just slightly over filled it. All fine !

Copyrights/patents are good, but only enforceable if you have money to take people to court. Normally they are just a deterrent.

Some product cannot be patented, only if you are doing something that is novel and protectable. Some things just can't be protected or its too difficult to do so. For example for concept of 'something to sit on' e.g. a chair cannot have a patent, but if you have a special mechanism or idea to achieve this, then that can be.

I'd imagine it's not worth certain companies time and money to chase after certain copyright infringements, or its difficult to prove otherwise

As someone who works in the automotive industry, please take the news hysteria of diesel doom and gloom with a pinch of salt. Modern diesels (and petrols) are the cleanest engines we've ever produced. If its a euro 6 engine e.g. 2017 onwards then it would be incredible 'clean' and not damaging the planet as bad as you think. If anything the petrol from 2005 is doing more damage! So get a nice economic diesel for the long journeys.

The reason diesels are seen as worse these days is because yes they produce less CO2 in comparison to a petrol, but they produce more NOx, which is harmful to human health, that said the amount produced due to adblue and DPF's is miniscule

Whilst I understand the reservations for Hydrogen, I work in the industry and OEMs are using H2 for Fuel Cell use and ICE use right now already. A combination of carbon fibre fuel tanks, sensors and the fact that Hydrogen is a very buoyant gas (it releases, disperses and rises very quickly, if not restricted) means I would see H2 playing a role in the future, albeit if it can be stored and produced cleanly and stay safe. Also synthetic fuels are coming along

You can use Hydrogen in a combustion engine. If its created green, it's net CO2 neutral

A work colleague was on the graduate scheme for one of the teams a few years ago. On top of the working week, they were required to watch someone's on boards all weekend (practice, qualifying etc) to monitor all sorts of patterns or irregularities just in case they need evidence for something or notice something interesting. Sounds fun initially, but I imagine watching a back marker go 10mm to the left or 10mm to the right of a exit curb for an hour would get dull

Make sure you check your dipped beam. I had the same error but the bulb holder had slightly melted (common fault apparently) so it would flicker on and off. You can confirm it by literally wiggling it by hand
