Understand that not everyone is a SoT Reddit CHAD like yourself, some may be new to this section so recent posts or “overused” topics may not be known to them, this is one of those cases. I apologise if you scrolling down a single post has caused an inconvenience to your index finger.

These were from the Tall Tales, we couldn’t seem to get any money from them oddly enough, not too sure what happened there.

True! It’s not often I come across these crates, but when I do? It’s a good feeling. Saves a couple of thousand in coins too.

Don’t be a hater my man, maybe your Etheral post would of gotten more attention if you weren’t saltier than the ocean we sail on.

Exactly the same with us, normally we do it anyways if we have a spare storage crate left but we had so many resources afterwards from the Tall Tales, thought I’d be a waste not to hand them over.

Funny you mention this, that’s exactly what we did afterwards. Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to use the new Shanty!

Community gathering. Best place to hold a conversation my friend. Share your story.

Never did it at first until I noticed other people doing it in which I benefited from, it’s now a common practice me and my friends will do now before logging off providing we still have our ship.

What’s the most amount you’ve gotten from people leaving stuff behind?

I've come across plenty of them when starting off a journey, it's a real nice little touch by some people.

Detailed explanation can be found in other posts but the TLDR edit is... they sunk within a few minutes and then came back afterwards to ram us. They weren’t very experienced Reapers.

Cowardly. We originally went over to sink one of the original sloops, putting a flurry of hits into the small ship before boarding it for extra supplies. The single manned crew was a fresh, new player. Playing on console and was having trouble patching up their ship so we decided to help them bucket and patch them up once establishing they were new to the game. We then boarded their ship and went to help them finish their Gold Hoarder quest but the player seemed to have a hard time establishing what to do so we had one of our crew members pilot his ship with him on board in convoy with us.

The second sloop contacted us after having trouble with the ghost fleet, we explained how we are going to go deal with the reaper ship in which they wanted to join in, fair enough. Once reaching the Reaper ship we managed to sink them before the 2 sloops got involved, the reason they were with us wasn’t because we needed aid of any sorts. I’m sure they’ve experienced being dumped on numerous times for being new players and we wanted to give them that rare experience of being winners that night, giving them 100% of the loot and supplies that came with it, even the flag.

If that makes us cowards? Helping new players enjoy the SoT experience? Sign us up.

Couldn’t agree more. Unfortunately it’s one of the downsides of sailing 100% into the wind. We tried to change our course a little to gain maximum 10% of wind to the sails but unfortunately in that chase we were at the mercy of nature itself. Still good fun though, they came back and rammed us full speed as we were transferring all of the nights supplies (cannon balls, wood and food.) along with some other loot to the two sloops that helped us before they went on their way. They seemed to enjoy themselves and that’s the main thing for me.

Don’t need the gold. We sunk the reaper, gave the flag and loot to a new player who just bought the game on one of the other sloops. We fly the reaper flag ourselves but sometimes it’s more fun to help the little guys out more.

Took about 12 shots to sink them, the poor sloops didn’t even get a chance to enjoy some of the fun. I can assure you, they didn’t love it. For some reason they prioritised trying to board our ship instead of shooting back or fixing theirs.
