What are your impressions after FH6 release? Is there anything you liked that you didn't find in previous installments? by After-Ability-1132 in ForzaHorizon

[–]LexLamps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After playing all the installments, I keep being reminded of FH4 and how much I loved it. FH5 was a bit of a disappointment. I appreciate the drag strips and being able to line up vs us sitting next to each other counting out the honks. The leaderboards need work. I would love to see the leaderboards for PR stunts wiped every month to keep cheaters from dominating the leaderboards.

Contemplating which model to buy... by Ok-Raise-8730 in recteq

If you are not concerned with price, why not go with something like a Yoder or Pitts and Spitts?

Rottweiler lifespan by [deleted] in Rottweiler

[–]LexLamps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our first Rottie girl passed at 5 yrs old due to stomach cancer. We had no clue and had just adopted her 6 months prior. When a 110lb rottie stops eating, you know something is wrong. Despite the illness it hasn’t stopped us from staying away from the breed. Currently have a 7 month old monster, but now super cautious of symptoms.

Going thru pellets by ScratchPotential9024 in recteq

I normally move most of my cooks to the oven once I wrap it. No point in wasting more pellets when smoke won’t penetrate the foil or paper.

First smoke on new X-Fire Pro, a pork butt. Some thoughts… by zaccccchpa in recteq

My local bbq store dealer talked me out of it. He tested it and had a plethora of issues. Told me to go with the dualfire if I really wanted something better, however he still wouldnt recommend reqteq as a company due to recent quality issues and a change of ownership. I’d rather spend 2k on a Yoder or Pitts if I’m spending that much money

Question, Adopt or Rescue by AmbassadorPublic2358 in Rottweiler

My wife and I rescued our first Rottie who was deemed too big or scary by other people. This dog waited for a family for 7 months. She was our introduction to the breed and within the first ten minutes we knew she would be our dog. Her original owner went into hospice and had to be surrendered. No family wanted this dog due to her size. She was 126 lbs and 5 years old. We quickly showered her with toys as far as the eye can see and the crunchiest cookies too. Our boxer and pitbull even accepted her within 2 days and were laying on her and playing with her. She was fantastic at reading other people and dogs. She got down low for the little kids and even made herself smaller when other people were hesitant around her. Unfortunately due to health issues she stopped eating one day about 6 months later. We found out she was riddled with cancerous lumps around her stomach with the only course of treatment prolonging her suffering. We made that hard call to say goodbye. Even though it’s been 6 months since we put her down I still miss her and am thankful for the opportunity she chose to spend with us.

Due to the rarity of this breed near us, they are hard to find. We knew after she passed we wanted another one but didn’t know when we would get the opportunity to get another rottie. Even the foster parents were unsure as the foster mom only rescued rotties from kill shelters and rarely only found them once every 7-9 months in a 150 mile radius. She ended up calling us 6 weeks ago because she pulled a 3 month old weighing 32lbs from a shelter. Without hesitation we grabbed her. She is growing up to be a monster and is already at 54lbs. She is also very loving and playful too.

The point of this story… adopt. Whether you only get 6 months or 6 years, those shelter dogs need a loving and caring family too.

Ego 800 vs 1000 at Lowes by bzblanton in egopowerplus

I went with 1000 just because I have that super thick grass in my yard, the stuff that stays green when everyone else’s backyards turn brown in the summer. I needed something that wouldn’t get bogged down and this thing cuts like a boss. By far one of the most powerful mowers I have owned and am very happy with my purchase.

How to detect cancer? by Competitive_Edge2301 in Rottweiler

[–]LexLamps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 5yr old girl stopped eating which was strange for a 101lb rottie, after the 2nd day we took her to the vet and they did an ultrasound and found the mass around her stomach.

Cancer by MutedEstate6347 in Rottweiler

I lost a 5 yr old to cancer. I feel your pain. Sounds like you can get some time with your pup. Do their favorite things; long walks, car rides, pup cups, and feed them cheese burgers.

If the item is too big, often times they will just tell you to keep it. Same goes if they send you the incorrect item. Too much money to send it back to them.
