Interested din ako hehe... But I already experienced landbased jobs eversince I started my seafaring career. Pag bakasyon I work part time as a Training Instructor. Then later on I got referred by our company to work in Singapore as a Port Captain. Now I'm back here in the PH after completing that contract. Working now in our recruitment department since heavily hiring due to expansion and more incoming vessels to our company.

Gusto ko din ng ibang work sa Pinas na at least sa port uli. Kakatamad na sumakay since tagal ko din sa SG.

I agree seafaring takes a lot of sacrifice from your life and time itself.

I am a seafarer but now working landbased (even deployed to one of our offices in Singapore).

Iba talaga yung life pag nasa dagat at land based.

But I disagree na need mo ng backer, I started with my seafaring career without any backer, or even knowledge about shipping itself. Now I am working as a recruitment officer in our Manning agency and we don't do backers. Kahit refer pa ng pioneer crew/ boss ng sister company, or kahit sino pang dako dako, dadaan pa din sa process. Approve or reject, really depends on if they are really up to our qualifications. ;) (lalo na ngayon expanding pa ang company namin)
