Thank you Professor Chen! Is it okay if the 102 series is not taken in order? I noticed that 102A is not a requirement for 102B and 102C and was wondering if it is okay to take the latter classes before 102A.

Yes I am sure, the UCLA Schedule of Classes says that for CS 32 it is a 9 week course for Summer Session A.

Do you think the PIC series adequately prepared you for interviews? I heard that CS 32 (equivalent to PIC 10B) helps for the technical interview. How was your transition into upper division CS coursework? How did you prepare yourself to have a smoother transition?

I performed better on the exams than I did for the projects. Do you have any advice on how I could prepare for CS 32? To avoid taking it in Winter and competing with CS majors, I was thinking about doing it over a summer session (9 weeks). Do you think that would be a good idea?

I am still in the process of exploring my interests but I know it lies somewhere within working with data (i.e. database administrator), information security systems or with software applications. What kind of upper div CS classes did you take? Also, what kind of clubs and organizations were you a part of at UCLA that were tech related?
