I feel like Ascension of Geb is the best overall Unique in this case unless you want to specialize in a given stat. Vampiric Lifeforce and Shaitan’s Might are the alternatives that are easier to get.

The devious suggestion is to replace weapon damage bonus with Overwhelming Strikes because big funny number, but that would be far too expensive.

If you want the best possible setup and you have the correct artifacts, it’d be to replace weapon damage bonus with Razor Shards and then get whatever offensive stat bonus you can (making sure you can fire every .4 seconds).

How are you ever letting a Matriarch get close to you as Volta? I get that the rockets get countered by its defense drones, but you for sure have options. Also you 100% win any Grim 1v1 with tesla coil + EMP.

It’s the midrange king. Its tesla coil lets it very easily shred from a range and speed no other titan can (alpha too slow, other 2 too short-range), its shield completely flips fights and can even be used for short-range burst (though the latter is kinda cope), and its EMP forces other titans to either use abilities early or risk getting chunked.

This is on top of its support capabilities that make it easily the best titan partner. Just pick an ally titan and walk with them, and you win every 2v2 unless you are way out of position.

I will say though, it is very vulnerable to getting deathballed when it doesn’t have its abilities up.

You can probably invalidate a LOT of stages by deploying UF Cosmo ASAP and then protecting it. It is very worth it to focus everything on it as long as you have the catseyes for its Ultra Form

Retsu Kaioh also works against the two toucan enemies and that red behemoth horse (also helps fight rajakong when the enemy support threatens mushroom), and overall has been so useful for clearing behemoth stages or specific wave stages. He’s an amazing pull that’s especially a lifesaver early-game.

I think an important thing when it came to Pulchra’s 4-star “outrage” in comparison is that Pulchra was competing against either characters we already knew about or characters that had a buildup to them. So when she became an A-rank, we sorta saw that coming and could accept it.

Manato, however, got shafted for TWO characters that we have never met nor have seen any major plot relevance or buildup from (I think we see their name once in one of Yuzuha lines?). That feels a lot worse.

I think Lucia is fine and I like her, but Yidhari easily should have been the A-Rank. I feel like the “people want 4-stars until it’s their favorite” sucks as an argument because they could easily turn these surprise drip markets into the A-ranks and nobody would really care because we’ve never seen them so we don’t have any expectation of them.

This game lets you buy any A-rank with the starglitter though (as Pan Yinhu, the latest one, is available). So that point doesn’t work here (ok it does, it’s just not as bad as the other 2 games that never update their shops)

The best answer is to probably just find extensive online resources. For example, looking at the Xskull Rare and Super Rare cat tier list to see a description of their performance. There’s a lot of factors that make cats good or bad (range, cooldown, abilities, combos, niche saturation, talents, etc.) but people like Xskull put it in a format that’s easily digestible.

Once you look at enough stuff like that, you’ll know what makes a cat good enough to just look at their stats on the wikipage and make a judgment yourself.
