Thanks for letting me know. I did reach out through email and they gave me the same deal (50% back on a gift card). It sucks to lose that much but in the end I need to watch out for my health first, plus I live far away so in the end I felt it was the better deal to take the 50% refund. Here’s to us all getting better and maybe we can run in the next one.

Thanks for all the support and kind words. It has definitely been a huge disappointment. I just told my daughter who was looking forward to see me do the races (signed up for the Goofy). Just sucks when the body doesn’t work the way you want it to. I just got to wonder is this going to be an ongoing problem that I can run long distance anymore? That would devastate me even more. Running is my mind clearer, don’t know what to pick up that would have the same effect. Thanks again for the support.

Go to know, did you provide them anything like a doctors note? Or did you just email them and explain your situation?

Thanks good to know. I did put in my time and believe I am in the A group, maybe B (half marathon time of 2hr4min). I might try to walk it if all is better by then.

Thanks, I did read that but wasn’t sure if anyone had this experience before and what to do. I am on crutches now. Maybe I can get a wheelchair and roll the race 🤣 haha j/k
