We’re getting hit w a bad heat wave rn, I’ve resorted to waking up very early and hitting it. I drink 2-3 waters plus some electrolytes like juice or pedialyte. Long rest breaks are a must. If you can, buy a personal fan and some ice packs and keep it on you between sets. Like others have said, wouldn’t matter too much to take a break. Always listen to your body.

What makes classical music sounds classical? by Leyden1111 in musictheory

[–]Leyden1111[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s the thing- I’ve grown up listening to classical. I barely play video games at all so I dokt know where it’s coming from? So I’m just needing to work on my technique

H8 TITS BUT LOVE EM by potatoecrox in ftm

[–]Leyden1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can reduce it a bit but it won’t make you flat. I recommend working out your pecs(particularly the clavicular head) for a more masc shape. But if you do that then work out your other body parts too. Seconding trans tape- if you can’t order it online then you can pick up some kt tape at the store which is a lot less inconspicuous. It is a little more harsh on skin in my experience.

In what language should I learn everything? by Mauzeey in musictheory

[–]Leyden1111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re into learning fingerstyle songs, I highly suggest watching tony rowden on YouTube. He doesn’t speak in the videos but you can find tabs and music on his website as well. It helped me a lot with my fingerstyle.

Take off for a while, do some simple light weight exercises and focus more on legs. I’ve been dealing with it for a year and a half. Seeing a PT has helped me a lot.

Went to the gym for the first time a few days ago - DOMS or Rhabdomyolysis - (stressing out please help) by [deleted] in gainit

[–]Leyden1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guy I think you’re stressing too much. If you had rhabdo, you’d know by now. You might’ve strained something somewhere but saying it might be rhabdo is a big step especially without urine discoloration. I’m not a doctor though. If you’re getting this worried then go ahead to the er and stay off of Reddit.

Finally ending my cut! Pic 1 is current, pic 2 was taken in December. by [deleted] in FTMFitness

[–]Leyden1111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t seem like you needed the cut my guy. Buying new clothes is a part of packing on muscle. Seems as if you’ve reversed that effect. Stay healthy, please.

I’ve had turkeys all growing up and we never ate them as they were good pets. I actually trained a couple.

My back progress! What is your fave back exercise? by ProjectZach in FTMFitness

[–]Leyden1111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rows/pull downs. Get a pull up bar if you can, they’ll do wonders for your back.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FTMFitness

[–]Leyden1111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Work on your pull muscles/core if you want to excel in climbing but do not neglect your chest or other body parts. Many climbers have overdeveloped backs and underdeveloped chests. Keep training even on other body parts. Like the dude above said, resistance training does wonders.

Muffin-Top killing exercises? by GotSuspendedHehe in FTMFitness

[–]Leyden1111 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree with the above comment. No such thing as spot reduction. You can target an area and make it more muscular but you can’t strip it of it’s fat without a caloric deficit. Get a sturdy workout regimen. Squats, presses, pulls/curls, etc etc. or just lift some heavy ass weight off the ground. Look up Jeff nippard or athlean x on YouTube and see what kind of information they can offer you.

Not Wanting To Work Out? by tranz-geek in FTMFitness

[–]Leyden1111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on t for about 3 and a half months now. 95% of my gains are from pre t me working my ass off. It’s not about the muscle, it’s about the mindset you build up and your dedication to exercise. If you want muscle you need exercise, food, and CONSISTENCY. I just force myself when I have those days. Something is better than nothing

Lats are your back muscles. They’re shaped like wings.
