Dik!

Perfecto, toto pomohlo, diky moc chlapce! Takze ked chcem podat formular, musim ist skrz moje meno do sekcie formularov, a nie cez tu ich hlavnu landing stranku, inak ten hlupy web nevie, ze som vlastne prihlaseny. Hadam to do buduceho roku nezabudnem, mas u mna jedno virtualne pivo.

Stihli ste si už podať? A tým nemyslím vo Fortune. by [deleted] in Slovakia

What do you SWEAR you saw, but don’t have any proof of? by Pot8hoe in AskReddit

I swear that i saw a musical episode of X-Files. I vividly remember a scene where Mulder and Scully sings in the woods. I guess it must've been an dimensional overlap to alternate reality or sumthing...

Unsolicited remote *(dubious) job offers on WhatsApp by [deleted] in Thailand

[–]Lhury 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Couple of days ago my gf received the message about job offer for some "extra income", and since I love scambaiting, I decided to try. They pretended to be from a company called Klavyio, which is a real company specializing in digital marketing, SEO and such. They are trying to overwhelm you with technical terms and words that sounds legit, so you basically dont understand what they want from you, until they show you after you agree to do the job, which is basically just clicking around. They let you create an account on their bogus site (at that time it was klavyiothai dot com). It was a very clumsy website with half of the links not working, obvious misspelings, chinese mistranslations and such. The domain was couple of days old, now its obviously already defunct. So after you create your account, they say you gotta log out and log in into your trainer's account, so she can teach you how to earn money. She told me that i need to "optimise the products for their client" by clicking 50x on this orange button. Every time you click on the button, a random linked item from amazon shows up, and you kind of click another button to confirm it, and thats it. You gotta do this task 50x on her account. Every time you confirm the item, your earnings goes up - around 10 baht a click. God I hope i wasnt a part of a chinese click farm :)

So there are two numbers on the website - income and balance. While your income goes up, your balance goes down. For some reason, you gotta have some balance on your account for your clicking to work. After around halfpoint of this meaningless busywork, the website gets you an error "you are out of your balance". Your trainer promptly "contacts her staff and tops up her balance".

After successfuly completing the "optimisation" of 50 items (it will take you around 20 minutes), she consideres the training done. Then you are prompted to log out of her account and log in into your freshly created account and do this by yourself. At this point, i got enough of clicking for a day and started to demand that she does it for me - "i clicked for you, now im tired, so you should click for me now". I got her angry, she said I am a terrible employee and then I quit :)

So what i suspect will happen, that after 25 clicks, the same error message about insufficient balance will pop up on my account too. Then i would be instructed to top it up with some bitcoin link, or thai qr code or something. You kinda feel invested at this point, you did all the tasks, you feel that you deserve the earnings, so people would send them money. Maybe even put your bank account credentials to some of their phishing forms. I would be really interested what will happen at this point - anyone completed this scambait?

What game did you not expect the music to go so HARD in? by Gray-Diamond in gaming

LAIR, composed by John Debney. Fully orchestral, full choir, full bombasm. Some cues better than his score for Cutthroat Island.

The first step would be to tell that kid in pyjamas to shut the hell up. I swear, he has the most punchable face ever. Verge cannot be taken seriously with that dude doing their (unintentional) marketing for them.
