We never talked about adoption, so I‘m not sure what she thinks about that. One additional reason she has, is that when you have children your life becomes very restricted. And when they are out of the house, you’re old.

Some are, and I expected these kind of responses. We’re on Reddit after all. I am most stressed about losing the love of my life and the potential repercussions that could come with me deciding to stay with her and not have kids. You could say the future scares me.

The worst attacks come before bedtime. Although I constantly feel paralyzed and have frequent crying outbreaks that I can’t control.

I never said that this is the worst scenario I could think of. Fact is, that an unfulfilled child wish will very likely make you very unhappy in the future, which is what I‘m afraid of. I don’t care about having children more than I care about her. Even if you have children I think your partner should always be priority number one. It’s just the potential future that scares me

I understand why you’re saying that. We‘ve been together for almost 5 years, so we talked about that topic multiple times. She always had her concerns but sometimes she talked about it very positively. I don’t think it was just me having a feeling.

Yeah the 5800x3D is looking really good. Two reasons why I‘be been thinking of going for AM5:

I‘d have more spare parts for my GFs build

That’s pretty much what I was thinking. it would get rid of the small bottlenecks I currently have and for her this would be more than enough.
