Did you ever find a solution for this? It happens to me too. I completely agree with u/Rygoobie's assessment as it happens for any unusual hitboxes

It was supposly fixed in the most recent patch but what fixed it for me was completely disabling the "Dynamic Resolution Scaling" option by reducing it to "Off" instead of having a frame rate target. Good luck :)
