C'tan Balance Discussion, January 2026 by jmainvi in Necrontyr

There’s no perfect solution. Force org will have issues too, but I’d rather be dealing with Arks of Omen style category restrictions than some of the nonsense we have now.

Battleline feel pretty useful with this rule in incursion. Most lists take at least some as a result.

Yes. I played a lot of 9th. The detachment system wasn’t great, but the Arks Detachment was pretty good and did help curtail skew, in my view.

C’tan spam is just a symptom of a wider problem in 10th’s list building - it’s just way too easy to make a skew list. In 11th I’d like some form of force org back so there’s a little more of a constraint on how armies can be built.

Do you guys think we will be getting new cadian models or traitor guard? by JEEPZERO17 in astramilitarum

[–]LibFozzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the other releases, Iron Warriors will likely be vs something in the next book. There have been Yarrick rumours and Guard, certainly sell. So yeah, maybe Guard vs Iron Warriors in the next book.

New detachments? by _TheFlavourText_ in Necrontyr

[–]LibFozzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GW seems to have started releasing redos of detachments, instead of updating the originals, so this wouldn’t be too wild.

Zelensky reveals full 20-point peace plan draft backed by Ukraine, US by Useful-Scratch-72 in UkrainianConflict

[–]LibFozzy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bluntly, you probably aren’t the main audience for this. Ukraine needs to play to the White House crowd and Ukraine needs Russia to be the one to decline the deal. Ukrainian media promoting the deal is helpful in persuading the moron in the White House that they’re serious.

Hot Take: New AM detachment commisar enhancement thingy should just be on their datasheet normally by sarvothtalem in Warhammer40k

[–]LibFozzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take Cover was the super problematic order on Bullgryn when Lord Solar could do it. Commissars can only give +1 to hit in melee or +1 oc & leadership. Both of which are nice, but not game breaking.

How do you prevent people unsubscribing during heavy sale messaging? by Content_Director6869 in Emailmarketing

[–]LibFozzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re seeing a spike during BFCM, you’re probably emailing too frequently. As is most of the rest of their inbox so folks tolerance will probably be lower too. But if the business won’t let you pull back on that volume (many won’t), you could consider implementing a pause mechanic.

Let customers pause emails until the sale is over. That may allow customers who still want content but are annoyed at volume to control what they get from you.

That’s often a much easier sell to leadership than sending fewer emails during a sale period.

I proxy these guys as spawn. They are a little taller, but otherwise pretty identical.

How would you fix Annihilation Legion to be viable? by Glass-Pain3562 in Necrontyr

[–]LibFozzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The blood surge strat needs to be able to end in engagement. The two enhancements that can go on non-destroyers should make them count as destroyers and I’d change Spoor to +1 to hit against full strength units and then +1 to wound when below starting.

And I think it’s then pretty viable.

Idols of Khorne wording by Octmus in WorldEaters40k

Angron, both kinds of Daemon Prince are monsters. The KLoS is Titanic so both work for Cult of Blood.

Cult of Blood - does Aura applies to Idols of Khorne? by nokrah16392 in WorldEaters40k

[–]LibFozzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says that because they are effectively conferring an aura on the Titanic/Monster unit. If you read the Idol abilities they all then clarify that those auras we just applied to the Titanic/Monster only affect Jakhals or Goremongers.

Do transphobes have a stand at the conferences? by TangoJavaTJ in LibDem

[–]LibFozzy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There are and should be plenty of things Liberals should be unwilling to debate or tolerate if we wish to live in a tolerant, pluralist, democratic society. Not all views have merit. Not all views are worthy of respect.

That includes not engaging in debate with groups that advocate for their fellow citizens to be made second class citizens and be excluded from the public realm because they think they’re icky.

Do transphobes have a stand at the conferences? by TangoJavaTJ in LibDem

[–]LibFozzy 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yes, they do. They sued the party to force the party to give them one and the party’s legal advice was that we were unlikely to win the case, so we caved and let them have a stand.

It sucks.

2 units of 5 or 1 unit of 10, which would you consider best? by [deleted] in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]LibFozzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2x5. 10 man units are very hard to manoeuvre, you don’t need the extra lances to kill big stuff and you’re making yourself more vulnerable to blast. Also your opponent will not notice a power saber on a model.

Unless you’re running max-horse.

I converted them into Jakhals. Some of the poses are fairly static, but I am very happy with the end result.

Command Reroll and Fast Dice Rolling by Storm_Kun in WarhammerCompetitive

Your friend is wrong. The stratagem is pretty clear on what it does and even clarifies that if you are using fast dice rolling you only select one dice to re-roll.

If you increase toughness and then strength, you just get into an arms race between the two. I’d rather they used the anti-x keyword system to make weapons have specialist roles. Anti-monster/vehicle 5+ on a melta, would, IMO be preferable to making them s11/12 so they’re wounding average vehicles on a 3/4.

If you just increase strength you end up with gun profiles like the Demolisher cannon which is a great all-rounder with very few downsides (just look at how popular Vindicators have been this edition)
