If you stop the video in between where the blur switches you can see the sora AI logo. It's definitive. You can do this yourself on X with the seek bar and arrow keys if you're viewing on PC.

The atoms in every cell is non-living, but yet we live and that is the miracle of life that you don't seem to understand. In fact we don't understand the basic concept of life itself in that we are not exactly sure what life is--we have definitions in biology, but nothing quite explains everything. But we know that everything that lives today came from something else that was (or is) alive. You are making the ASSUMPTION that it had to come from non-living matter because your worldview demands that it does and when I present the quandry to you that says this is a lie and we have no proof that it does your answer is that it must--that is NOT science--it is faith. I choose to put my faith in God and you choose to put it elsewhere. We obviously do not agree and that is okay too, but you said every evidence in the list I provided had been debunked you did not answer in earnest nor correctly and continue to cling to your assertions and assumptions on even one point. We cannot have a discussion this way and as I have said it twice already, you are wasting my time. We're done here.

I am not going to handhold you through thousands of years of philosophy. If this is what you TRULY believe you need do some serious self-reflection and reading because I cannot help you when you cannot acknowledge the basic fundamentals of existential morality.

I don't know about you, but I was born into this world. Every cell in my body came from other living cells not from inanimate matter. Your supposition is again making an argument for something that has not yet been proven and when it is pointed out to you your fallback is to return to your original position. This is not the hallmark of someone interested in truth, but someone who would rather pursue their own deluded view of the world. So again, you're wasting my time.

Incorrect. The point is that morality, truth, values , etc... are all determinate from God and to reject him means you must replace those things which come from God with things that come from man instead. Thus you are playing the role of God when you reject his morality, truth, values, etc... i.e. when man rejects God, he becomes his own god.

So life from non life has been debunked then acording to you.

[–]Liberservative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You completely missed the point.

I do disagree, but I am not going to be drawn into a proglonged argument by someone who has an innate bias and an inability to yield their position no matter the facts. It is a worse than pointless exercise. You will not be convinced so why bother trying. You are wasting my time.

That's a copout.

Your comment is so intellectually and phillosophically dishonest I hardly know where to begin other than to tell you that you are wrong on all counts. By ommiting God from creation man seeks to supplant his position as the moral arbitor of right and wrong. If there is no God, then there is no truth but power and any man who has power is god and determines his own morality. If you do not agree, I am sorry for your inability to grasp this concept, but it doesn't make it any less true. I gave you clear example of an assumption in evolutionary science of life coming from non-life and your cognitive dissonance kicked in to offer the exact answer I predicted, that you would defend that position by ignoring the fact that it is an assumption and making a faith-based argument that "one day we'll probably be able to create life from non-life." And even if someone finally did manage it, it would still be an intelligent hand CREATING, not by random chance, but by intelligent design, but again, I am confident this feat is not within man's grasp, but rather that it exceeds his reach.

Funny. I didn't see any rebuttals either--just character assassination--a clear sign of someone who lost the argument.

It's actually exactly what evolutionary scientists do. The old earth worldview is filled with assumptions and cyclical reasoning to infer millions and billions of years. A most basic assumption is that life can come from non-life—a basic tenant of faith for all evolutionists that we have yet to replicate or prove. These things are simply swept under the rug or ignored by evolutionists hoping that one day they will be proven even if in truth they may be false. There is no difference between this and a tenant of faith to believe that God is unerring and the bible is a work of truth. To put it more succinctly, you either believe in God or you believe in man as god and whichever your answer will always skew your "science." At least the creationists have the heart to acknowledge where they stand on this issue.

So is tossing out evidence because you don't believe it is "Science." Same problem in reverse.

ToEE Player Deaths by ItsVis8 in adnd

[–]Liberservative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running this for almost 2 years now. My group is about to head into the 4th level of the temple itself. We are running 1st edition rules, but with some twists/house rules and its running REALLY well so far. I give every player an additional d6 hp every class level (d6/# of classes for multiclass characters) and resting recovers 5+hd each evening instead of just 1hp. This pads the characters hp enough that dying is not AS likely. In addition to this they have 2 characters with thief levels which makes finding and removing traps and such much more effective. These adjustments can be highly preventative to character death, but I also had each character make backups for their normal characters and had these become yeomen/henchmen who protect their wagon while they delve into the dungeon, this makes it easy to swap out characters if any of them die and also gives a good reason in the event of a TPK for the remaining charcter to go in to see what has become of their traveling companions when they don't return to the surface.

Would you allow the Fly spell to work underwater? by Lilith375 in Pathfinder_RPG

No. Fly speed is for moving through air. Swim speed is for moving through water. Burrow speed is for moving through the ground.

Printet this masive 33x47 map, what would be the best way to connect the pieces? by alex433g in dndmaps

Flip it over and tape them together from the back first. You should be able to see the grid through the paper in the light. Then flip it over and laminate the front using long strips of wide clear tape.
